No Sound from JAMMA PCB while plugged into MVS cab?

What gives here? I understand that the SNK MVS dedicated cabs were somewhat different than a Standard JAMMA+ cab for the obvious reason of 2 less buttons (but, even with their 4th button an MVS cab is technically a JAMMA+ unit).... I have Raystorm here as a pure PCB and a CPS2 A/B with AvsP... Neither output sound through the MVS cab's built in speakers. I *can* however get sound out of the CPS2 unit but using it's built in RCA connections and running that to my Stereo.

I did some researching and found this page:

http://www.upl.cs.wisc.edu/~stephane/arcade/

Which then contained this link and this page:

http://www.upl.cs.wisc.edu/~stephane/arcade/neojam1.htm

Am I right in my assumption that this is in fact what I am required to so just to get audio working with a JAMMA (or jamma+) PCB inside of a MVD dedicated cab?

And if this is of use to anyone who may be able to respond to my post:

http://web.njit.edu/~jal0737/Neo-Geo/Neo-HomeMVS.htm

I found that page just now which contains images of the MVS pinout and a JAMMA pinout...

As a result of reading this page, I now also wonder if another option (or method) is to simply RIP the MVS harnes out of the cab and replace it with a JAMMA+ wired end tip and then......

well, heck - I dont know what and then...

I'm wondering if I need to replace the ENTIRE wiring setup of th ewhole damned MVS and make it a JAMMA+ cab - then make a pin converter for my 6-Slot to work with it.... What a pain in that A$$ that would be :/

I am no genieus when it comes to this stuff. but just today i did some work with my speakers.

Origionally i had a standard jamma cab with a mono speaker. but after i took out the origional board and replaced it with an MVS-2 slot. the output for mvs was different.

Instead of Speaker Pos and speaker Neg it was Speaker L Pos and Speaker R Pos.

so if your going the opposite way turning an mvs cab to jamma plus. it could be possible that the speaker's are wired differently. and i would strongly recomend that before your rip out the standard MVS wiring included in the cab you try a few combonations with the speaker's.

but yeah like i said i am new to the scene when it comes to this stuff

All good mate, seriously. Any words AT ALL on this are greatly appreciated. I made an email out to Briggs (right name?) over at www.hardmvs.com explaining what I intended to do when my MVS cab was fully set up the way I wanted it and I hope he gets back to me.

The most important thing...well, the only thing and the very thing(s) I am out to accomplish are having this cab be able to play ALL MVS and JAMMA/JAMMA+ games in one place with (hopefully) a single wire harness inside the cab. :)

Neo MVS, CPS2, JAMMA, JAMMA+, DCtoJAMMA and finally MAME via the J-Pac and their CGA video card.

If I can make all of that happen in my one MVS cab - I'll be on cloud nine!

Just take care that the problem in the CPS2 board could be caused by it's sound configuration. Go to the test screen and change stereo to mono. In stereo, it only outputs sound through the RCA jacks, while in mono it does so through the JAMMA harness.

I think you just need to make some simple rewires of one or 2 pins in the JAMMA harness to make it work with regular mono boards.

EDIT: I was using info from this post: http://www.neo-geo.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=68725 , but I just noticed you already posted in it.
