Hi there!
This question should be valid for these 2:
- 1-slot MVS
- JAMMA SNK vs CAPCOM CHAOS

I'd like to make my cabinet stereo, and it will be a neogeo-dedicated cab.

Can I use 4ohm speaker for SPEAKER LEFT and SPEAKER RIGHT?

I know you need 8ohms for the normal JAMMA mono output, but how about mvs/svcc?

Thanks!

Hey DaemoN! Generally all arcade PCB's would be best suited to 8 ohm speakers and this includes MVS boards. Though, it wouldn’t hurt anything to use 4 ohm parts even though this standard is usually reserved for car audio gear. Again though, there are exceptions to every rule so don't quote me. Heres something you might want to try if you feel like going all the way with it, buy two small 8 ohm woofers, two tweeters to go with them and suitable crossover circuits for the specs of the speakers you have chosen. Ask your audio parts supplier for this advice! This way you'll generally get far nicer sound out of your boards due to the greater range of frequencies plus some decent kick from the woofers too, which makes fighting games that much more satisfying!!:buttrock: :buttrock:
