I recently purchased an MVS Arcade. It's a one slot and i'm wanting to get a 2 of four slot board to put in it.
Is there anything that i should know about switching the boards. any power problems or connection differences? I'm quite a novice at this and i need the wise words of the neo masters

thanx

you will have to re wire some of the audio since the two slot will be stereo and the wires are in slightly different places. Wire the Posives to the speakers and the - sides of the speakers to the ground.

You will also need to add a button or buttons to cycle through the games.

here is a chart showing the diffrence between the jamma (one slot) and mvs (multislot).

The main issue of concern is the audio. If you don't change the wireing, the audio will be much lower and you will only recieve one channel.

Does anybody know how the wiring should be done EXACTLY? I have a JAMMA cabinet with 4-slot MVS and sound is just like described before.

With 1-slot all worked fine, so I know it´s just this wiring thing... The cabinet has two speakers, so I have to plug some connectors away from them and/or re-plug them somewhere? Or what? Please help me, start to be desperate :D

See the diagramm?????

Take the wires that come off of the 10 and put them to the possitive on each speaker, one for right and one for left.

Then attach the negative terminals on the speaker to the ground where the power supply connects to the 1,2,27 & 28 pins of the harness.

That sould fix your problem

Ok here ya go...

Each speaker has two terminals/wires. One wire is for possitve and one is for negative. On your one slot, the possitive goes to the top of the tenth pin on the connector for both speakers. On a one slot, the negative end goes to the bottom of the tenth pin.

Since you are changing to stereo, each possitve end on of each speaker will have to go a seperate side of the tehnth pin. The right speaker goes to the top terminal and the left goes to the bottom terminal....

On an mvs, the negative side of the speakers goe to the ground, You can put together the grounds of both speakers and attach them to the ground....

Where is the ground????? The ground is the wires that go to the 1,2,27,28 pins of the board. Find a place anywheres in there to splice in your negatives and you should be fine. The closer you splice it to the power supply, the better.

But Let me warn you... If you ever switch back to a one slot or Jamma board,

REWIRE THE SPEAKERS FIRST......

In a monosetup, It will short, potentianaly causing your board to fry....
