Hello all,
I was lookingHere today, and I saw some pics of the new TRiforce arcade hardware. For the game it uses a Naomi GD Rom setup, which I have confirmed to be the excact same Dimm and GD rom for use on your Naomi. My question is, can you play Naomi GD rom games on a Triforce? Even better, can you play Naomi Carts on it?

The Slot is certinally there, and its basically an upgraded Naomi 2, so do you think its possiable?

Sorry but Naomi games won't play on a Triforce system. I don't think you can re-use the same GD-ROM drive as your Naomi 2's one. I think the drive that comes with the Triforce is a modified version.
ROM carts won't work either. Triforce is a *totally* different system than the Naomi.

Yup Triforce is gamecube-based hardware, naomi/naomi2 is dreamcast-based hardware...
Even in the eventuality the GD-ROM unit had same connexion and the same access protocols (verry unlikely), it would still be impossible for the PowerPC processor of the triforce to understand an instruction meant for the naomi SH4 processor ^^; would be just like like talking russian to a japanese

Well I think the GD-rom is compatible, would be stupid to create yet another standard as arcade games seldom tends to be big anyways. Seems like they even use the same SEGA I/O board for it, if it is any diffrent it's just the firmware and that thing is socketed.
