did i buy a bootleg cart?

Hello i bought metal slug 3 but the cart is White
i made some pictures i wil post them soon
but the board inside the cart says SNK but the cart got alot of wires end this strange type of storage chips but some chips have the text SNK CORP
can aby body tell me if this is a bootleg

From your description it sounds like a bootleg... however we would need to see it to make sure. Is it a daughtercard kind of setup with a single wire running from the little board mounted on the top most board.

Confusing description, but there is a legit copy that has a small pcb attached to the top most board and a single black wire running from it.

Ps the game dont show the SNK MAX or GIGA power intro it just starts METAL SLUG 3 directly no intro sound

I thought for sure he was joking when I saw these pics. Tiawan wouldn't even make such a piece O crap to put in a nickel vending machine. Thats got to be the ugliest hack of a cart I've ever seen. How does it play? The whole game seem to be there? ARE you making a joke? But if not I am sorry you got jacked, seriously.

I think we need to update our glossary!!
What you have is not a bootleg...
The hack job on that cart is so bad it is responsible for a new word that should be entered into the NEO Glossary.
What you have is a BARELEG meaning that ,that hack job is not up to bootlegging standards.
There is a way to do BAD things good and that cart is'nt one of them.
Please don't take this post in the wrong way as I am not making fun of your misfortune but rather appreciating that you brought this to everyone's attention.

hey i also got a king of fighter cart witch got some wires inside!! :confused: i bought it frome the same guy i can show the pictures
