CPS2 kick harness question

Does CPS2 use buttons 1 to 3 on the Jamma harness for punches and a separate connector for all 3 kicks or is it buttons 1 to 3 for punches and button 4 on the Jamma harness for light kick and a separate connector for medium and hard kick?

It's a separate 'kick harness' connector for all three kicks.

Light, medium and hard punches are through the JAMMA harness, Light, medium and hard kicks are through a seperate harness that attaches to the CPS2 motherboard, CPS3 and Capcom Naomi converters use the same harness, CPS1 boards use a different connector. The CSP2 'kick harness' also has output's for volume control, the test switch and on certain games a third and forth player connections.
