Where do you buy your parts? I've found a lot on the Maplin site but I'm sure there's gotta be a better place to buy them!!

Maplin is fine, I got everything from them except the jamma connector.

I got that from here

Yep, I ordered most of the stuff from Maplin and some from Swallow AM just before I saw this post:)

Hi Geezer,

good to see someone else building a supergun.

Does anyone know where I can get a good case for my supergun? I ideally want to put my MVS 1 slot in a box along with all the wiring so that it looks nicer and there's no chance of my daughter putting her hands in it:eek:

I was going to get an Uberia minigun but I figure I should be able to make one for a fraction of the price (hopefully).

I also want to get an external PSU similar to the Uberia ones, anyone know where I can get one? It would give me more space in whatever box I get if I can have the PSU tucked away behind the TV.

Cheers

John

i built a supergun when i was 16 for my tech gcse, it was pretty easy to do but took me a week to build it and like a whole month to get the thing perfect unfortunetly i have no pics of it no more :( as it was stored on my ye old p.c, i used an old jamma cab and mvs 1-slot F model i think to make it i put it all in a wooden box and sprayed it black it actually looked crap but every1 was very impressed with the fact that it could play metal slug!. i sold the supergun to a class mate after school. why do i bring this up?, well i recently got back into the neo scene and was thinking for building another 1, but it takes a lot of time and effort and really it does cost quite abit about £50. so i bought a uberia minigun mk2 instead and i think u should to :)

sure u can do it cheap, but the quality will suck!, u will have colour bleeding! etc. my minigun has a rgb scart socket built into it!, and i use a pure gold scart lead which is top of the range it cost me £40 from richer sounds the quality i get out of this baby will blow ur mind, all together it has cost me £150 but its way better than any other supergun for picture quality, i will post pics when i find a good camera.

Can you do me a favour and go to this link and tell me which wire is suitable please

I used the 1st 2 items in that link, the 24 for power and the 16 for the rest.
