I will... I happen to even have that day off.:buttrock:
I'd rather have the next day off though so I can stay up all night.

I'll be playing it hardcore, though my crew is trying to get set up with world passes on a Jpn server.

I've had my PC copy pre-ordered for months now.

I can't wait to create my little Tarutaru and bring him to life.

In these MMORPG games I always go for the magician/wizard type character.

Preferably a strength in White Magic, since I love being the healer in the group.

The current rumor is the PS2 version will come boxed with the HDD for $99. Get the PC version if you can though, it will have much better graphics (if that matters to you), and it comes out in 5 days. The console version isn't coming out until Q1 2004.

I too will be a Tarutaru and I can't wait! But I do need to upgrade my video card first. GeForce or Radeon?

Saw this game in action, had trouble not falling asleep. Boring and bland in-game, very slick and nice menu GUI visuals. As far as I know, only the PC version is being released next(?) week and the PS2 version isn't to follow for some time.

I've already been sucked into another one these (MMORPG) games, but will refrain from naming it due to not wanting to even bother dicussing its de/merits with anyone.

I'm getting the windows version myself, we should start a guild or something. Did anyone her get into the beta testing? I tried but it turns out I singed up just after the cut-off date. I gotta say that this game looks alot better than the other MMORPGs on the market today, the Final Fantasy brand just makes it that much better.

I also thought it looked a bit boring.

But a bunch of my old PSO friends were on the Beta Test and they kept ranting to me about how much they loved it.

So I figured I might as well give it a try.

Besides, it's been a long time since I've found a good MMORPG that I really loved and could become hopelessly addicted to. So I'm kind of hoping that will happen again with FFXI; I miss that addicted game feeling.

Hell yeah.

I've been waiting for this game since the original press release over a hundred years ago.

After soooo many delays, it's finally coming out! Like really, not just going to get delayed to tease me, but it's really coming out!

Heh, I psyched, no doubt.

Myself and Yagami are already putting together a crew (clan? LinkShell?) and are trying to coordinate everything so that we can get everyone on the same server.

It would be great to be able to catch up with some fellow Neo people. Once the game is released, we'll after to set an official Neo server or something along those lines.

For anyway curious about the game, checkout:

Http://www.playonline.com for the official site

and

http://www.shadow-dragons.com for the most informative and comprehensive site I've found yet.

uh huh...any fantasy MMORPG, is everquest or a D&D game...please explain the difference of TF quests from EQ quests, probably different monsters...I hope you don't say graphics.

As for the topic, I'll wait til my friend gets it cause my comp barely can run this site...lol, then I'll pay him a dollar or two to set up a character. CHOCOBO KNIGHT HERE I COME!....-sighs- if that class exists.

For anyone new to MMO's, be careful about your gametime.
You will quickly lose all outside interaction with your first MMO. I played UO nonstop for what seemed like years. I totally blew off the real world for several months. It'll happen to most of you.

I messed around on the beta some, and 13 bucks just seems a bit steep for me. Maybe if that was a universal price, similar to X-box live or something, and would give me access to future Square Enix online games, but just for one, I doubt I'll invest in it. I pay 9 bucks for PSO each month and in a few more months that same price will cover two games. The extra fees for the card game and extra character are pretty shitty too.
