Do you like brawlers? Do you like a wee bit of near-mindless action? Did you dig the TMNT arcade game, and do you like extras and learning new moves as you go? Pick it up man!!!!!!!! You'll be happy you did! Greatest brawler? No. Groovy? Yes!

How does it stack up to the original?
How is when paired with the almightly Dynasty Warriors 3?

I might get it @ Target tomorrow - they give you a free dvd of the new episodes with it.

The original will always be tops in my book, but it plays solid, and would fall as my second fave TMNT game next to the arcade original. As far as Shin Sangoku Musou 2 comparisons: It has the same combo system! The battlefield is less hectic, but it keeps a steady stream of action. Plus, some of the levels are LONG, and there are a lot of them!

When you get down to it, it's pure brawler goodness!:D

I picked up Turtles last night for Xbox. Played it for a couple hours with a friend of mine. We had a blast, but this game has some issues that need mentioning.

1) Player 1 CANNOT EVER change character, even if you die, you MUST continue with the character you first picked. Player 2 can choose other characters after dieing, so why not player 1?

This is just plain stupid.

2) As far as I can tell, there are no throw moves at all. Every other Turtles beat'em up hes let you grab bad guys and toss them around. Not here, unless it unlockable later on.

This is the biggest problem, IMO.

3) Jump attacks can only be performed after the first set of levels. Not a big gripe, but still silly.

4) No 4 player option. WTF? I pray it's hidden in there somewhere.

Stupid stupid stupid.

I can't understand the logic Konami was using with some of these gameplay omissions.

Also, the game seems a little unbalanced. It's easy as pie, and then BLAM!, a boss that stomps the shit out of you.

Overall, I think this is a fine game. It's a ton of fun (and that's what counts) but it has a few chinks in it's armor.

I'd rate this game anywhere between a 6 and 7.5.
Worth buying? Yes!
