I was going to try and comment on this, but I am so sickened by that article that I find it hard to even formulate a proper thought.

Africa is very well on its way to becoming empty or at least severely depleted of people as a direct result of these self righteous fools set on saving their people from sin by lying to them and allowing them to die "pure."

What a bunch of complete shit. Organized religion could not possibly suck anymore with the possible exception of an organization sponsering some kind of warlike crusade, like the Catholics once did (and I am technically Catholic, so please shut your hole before you open it and embarrass yourself).

The thing is, the Church's effort in Africa may very well result in more deaths than the Crusades ever did, and all in the name of obscure rules that Jesus himself never uttered.

First off it is not the responsibility of the public/private school system or the government to teach children about sex.
It is the parents responsibility to talk to their children about things like this. But then that is the problem these days, too many parents can't be bothered to talk to their children about anything. Least of all sex.
There is $117 million tax dollars wasted on sex education classes that most kids don't even pay any attention to.

If you are referncing the Vatican then yes they are that asinine.
Telling people in Africa not to use condoms is just about the same thing as telling them to floss with a gun.

I've always thought the Catholic stance against the use of condoms was beyond ridiculous. What's even more disturbing is the essentially "Catholic Sex Ed Program" being taught in schools. You wouldn't believe the outright lies they try to perpetuate in my health class on a daily basis.

Well technically condoms are against Biology's will. The purpose of sex is to create life. While the Vatican believes that sex should wait until marriage it also believes that anything that limits a woman from becoming pregnant is destroying a potential life. Just my thoughts.

I mean, I went to Catholic school for so many years, and in highschool, no one said anything about not using condoms. The sex ed classes we had there encouraged it.

If you're interested in finding out why the Church hates condoms, I think it all has to do with a guy named Onan. I forgot the passage location, but basically Onan's brother asks him to sleep with his wife as much as it takes in order to bear the brother a child. Onan like screwing his brother's wife so much, that he rigs the game by pulling out at the last second. God then strikes him dead with a lightening bolt.

Hence the term "onanism."

Anyhow, my interpretation is that it was more of a "thou shalt not covet your neighbor's wife" than having "safe sex" is a sin.

God doesn't know his own creations it seems. It's fairly well documented that the 'pull out' method doesn't work, because there would be some pre-ejaculation semen that leaks out and impregnates the woman.

Seems to me God is trying to cover his tracks by destroying Onan so that he doesn't lay claim to his legal fatherhood and sue his own brother later on for visitation rights and custody.

Anyway, that's because you are looking at sex with a girl as something fun, enjoyable, etc. Now, you have to drop that mindset, sex as a biological function exists for the sole purpose of furthering the race's existence.

Granted this isn't my logic, but I think its a much more valid point than you want to make it out to be.
