Fan review section

I think it'd be great for this board to have a fan Review board. Then to help other gamers we could right reviews about recently played games new or old does not matter. I this would really help others into deciding what games to rent or purchase. Face it most gaming mags give crappy reviews. Anyone with me?

hmmm . . . similar to most forums. I like the idea, and who knows. Maybe someone will submit something worth putting on the main page reviews.

The reviews HERE are already written by forum members. Do you mean a review forum for non-Neo/SNK games? If so, my guess would be that it is not going to happen.

Unrelated Topics and the SNK War Room already read like GameFAQs 2, no reason for another foothold to be constructed. When our members find a game that they feel should come to the attention of other members, Unrelated Topics works well enough for disseminating the information.

The link you gave out is a page, not a forum...
Meaning that obviously, not everyone can post their reviews there, and also people can't reply to them to tell their opinion on the review... Hence the utility of a forum.

The idea was also to put the best reviews of that forum on the page you gave a link to.

This idea makes no sense.
If you want to make a review that's subpar [and therefore, not fitting into the legitimate review section] or you want feedback, just post the review in any of the many Neo dedicated forums on the BBS.

I don't get what the specific designation of a forum dedicated to reviews is...

I know there are reviews on the main page, but I wouldn't mind hearing many different opinions on the same game.

Again, I don't see how this would hurt and I agree with Inazuma.

Have you ever read some of GameFAQs reviews?

If we can learn anything from that site [aside from FAQs] it's that not everyone is capable of writing a review.

I think the system we have now is perfect.

Submit a review to Bobak. He proof reads it. And if it's up to par he adds it to the "Reviews" section.

If not, then just write one up and post it in 16-Bit, General Discussion, Unrelated...

A specific forum for just reviews is overkill.

yes, GameQuacks has horrible reviews.

I can't argue that point.

But I also believe most of the people that frequent these are capable of giving good insight on a review.

I guess to each his own. I don't see how it would hurt.

Also, unlike on GameFAQs, people would be able to IMPROVE their reviews afterward, if needed...
Whereas on GameFAQs, once your review has been submitted, you can't edit a single thing in it.

I never really specified Neo or not Neo. I wanted to see what you guys would think. Yes some people are not very capable of reviewing but, then again it is a bummer that the only reviews are in a section that I'm guessing not too many people view. Either way it is up to the mods. Maybe if there is enough support we will get it.

Or people start new threads on the same subject a few weeks later. so if there was a place for them, they'd be there for anyone to look at when they wanted to.

Everytime there is a review it does get lost quick.
