For anyone who hangs out in the Tech forum, or over at SGR, they know we like to build consolized PCBs.

This is my third 2 slot console this year and I am building another one right now also. I built this one for Earthquake here at the n-g.com forums.

***Before anyone says anything, all the wiring on the inside isn't finished yet. I just wanted to get the jump on some pics of it. I will finish all the rest of the wiring to the edge connector tomorrow or Wed. Plus I know the PCB is kinda grungy looking...I will try to clean it up.***

On to teh pics!

You can see I chose the classic black finish for the console. I didn't use a high piano gloss type finish as they show every finger print and piece of dust. This is a bit more rough black finish that once dried, resembles something on an appliance. Very tough stuff. Also I have started to use a different material for the base plate; I used a 2.5mm thick sheet of Lucite. I would have liked to have used something a little bit thicker, this has proven so far to be strong enough once mounted. The PCB is supported above the base plate using 1/2 inch aluminum standoffs. Little rubber feet on the bottom keep it from skidding and moving around.

Picture from the backside. From the left to right I have a 5 pin power inlet which attaches an external Jameco PSU to the console (I use to build them with an internal PSU, but I like this way better). To the right of it is a toggle switch for the power. Over on the far right hand side it stereo audio, composite video and S-video. The audio is tapped from the headphone jacks and the video is provided by the fab JROK (a legend in its own time).

Up close to the A/V side of the console (you can tell I am not a pro photographer - rofl).

And a picture from the Power side.

As I mentioned before, I built this for Earthquake and should have it completely finished in the next couple days at most. I will post some more pictures once I am done of the inside. I will also add a gallery over @ SGR.

After that I am going to finish up another one that needs my attention (will probably be painted in a nice gray colour) and then start on another compact SuperGun.

Bitches, discuss!

Great work!!
Hey,that suggestion of using the color red would be GREAT!
Hey,has anybody tried spray paint??? You could also scan the MVS logo ,cutout the interior of the letter to the edges, tape the outlined image to the metal case and spray paint .
That would look BOSS!

Much respect to everyone who consolizes those boards. You guys truly kick ass.

I wish I had the ability or the money to get one of these done but unfortunately I can't afford it.

Keep up the awesome work

Big Bear,

Yes, I used school bus yellow plasikote spray paint for my consolized 2 slot. I am in the process of re-painting the 2 slot. I plan to use some neo-geo decals/ stickers for the top of the 2 slot then spray 3 coats of clear coat over the 2 slot and stickers so the stickers will look as if they are part of the paint. Afterwards buff and wax for the mirror finish :)

I will have pics once it is complete.

Also, for all members wanting a 2 slot console, private message me for parts and service pricing.

Nice work man!! Very clean looking!!

I'm so tempted to buy one of these two slots and consolize it myself. Now that I have my dremel tool and that multi-bit, it shouldn't be too tough at all....

I just wish I had time...... and I have to figure out a way to finish off these two super super guns first and get them off my hands.

Again, great work!!!!!
