I hear and understand your complaint man, as in Hatin' just for the sake of hatin'... BUT, I've always felt I've had legitimate reasons to bitch/loathe a lot of the mainstreamism that goes with stuff like Japanimation. *Hence right there most ppl today will be quick to tell you it's called Anime, but at the time I got involved into the Animation scene it was more widely referred to as Japanimation, and there was no racial stigmitism attatched to that title.

Sure the stories are still "out there" and even "thought provoking"... but with guys who look like girls, or with characters overall that look like 10 year olds instead of being at least in the late teens. Thus I have a serious gripe with this, as mainstreamism in this department is what allows animators to just take the lazy way out. Ppl put more stock into a Japanimation product than they do actually studying history or knowing their religion, or understanding how and why religions are the way they are. *I personally know several ppl who refuse to accept the Bible and it's teachings as TRUTH, or being handed down from an all mighty creator to men to compile into the good book... but will believe whole heartdly in something said or done in Japanimation like Evangelion, or some Heroic Fantasy setting... which is just ridiculous. ***Then there's the whole "Sub Vs. Dub" thing. With Dual language DVDs both parties are satisified, but the fact still remains that the collective majority of too-important-and-lazy-Japanimation watchers, don't like it because they're broadening their horizons (othewise original voices with subs wouldn't be an issues) but rather because it's the new flavor of the month or year, and they want to be viewed as "Cool" by their peers. Yet guys like me back in the day got fucked with for liking GUNDAM, only to have the same idiots come along now and be "I've been down with G.D. all along man!"
