Whos getting SSX 3?

Hey just want to ask if anyone is getting SSx 3. I read in the ign review that its better then Tricky and I played that game to death. Anybody getting it?

Definately! Ive been waiting for it for a long time. Ive gotten more fun out of the SSX series than just about any other in recent years.

What system are you getting it for? Ive been thinking of getting the Xbox version for the 5.1 surround. But im more than likely going to go PS2 version again because of the trick system. I dont think I want to try playing this series with only 3 trick buttons.

Yeah, I was never really much into any type of sports game. But I played a demo of SSX on my PS2 and was hooked to it. I ended up buying SSX Tricky on my Game Cube and played the game to death.

I totally dig the commentator in the game.
"Oh yeah, that's a good trick"
"Again? Spin the other way"
"Call your momma in the room and show her how great you are"

Is SSX3 coming out on all 3 systems? I heard there are now 3 uber levels. When you reach Uber level 3 you peform an unbeliavable trick specific to each character. I wonder if it's something new, or one of the hard to perform uber tricks in SSX2.

I'll get it on PS2 Because of the Controls.

i got the PS2 one, hadnt opened it yet because I was considering getting the Cube version. However due to controls the cube one lacks one of the grab buttons so I think I am going to crack open the PS2 one later. SSX the first one was the reason I bought a PS2.

I got it today, and it rocks! All SSX fans will be very pleased!

Bah get the PS2 version. Its the only one with online play! Not that ive tried that out yet. I dont even have a modem. But after spending a couple hours with the game im definately getting one!

SSX3 promised to deliver the goods, and I have to say its all that and a bag of chips! The gameplay has been reworked a bit. Its less forgiving now. Which pissed me off for the first 10 minutes or so but its definately for the better. The character upgrades are handled via a purchasing system. In Tricky you could take a character and completely level it up in an afternoon no sweat. Thats not going to happen in SSX3. The music is pretty good, though I miss the announcer from the past 2 SSX games. They've got some DJ now, who's a bit annoying actually. But thats the only downside ive seen, and its nothing to really piss or moan about.

Oh and the graphics Im playing the PS2 version, and I swear if I had seen this on video I would have thought it was the Xbox version! Partical effects, transparencies, and HUGE views of the mountain when you catch some air. The game is just breathtaking!

If the online play is solid, then I think this might well be game of the year. Only VF4 and a few others can touch this!

I'm getting it. Tricky was the shit, and from what I've been reading and hearing this one is even better.

My wife is playing it right now actually. I havent really seen much of it yet (havent been paying attention) but the music seems like quality.
