Hey just wanted your opinion s on which series is better to you the Terminator or Matrix series? I like them both but think that if there was no Terminator they wouldnt have a Matrix.It seems that Terminator is the Prequals to the Matrix becuase Terminator is the war against the machines and the Matrix is that the Machines won.

if you've seen animatrix you know terminator and matrix can't have a connection. Any way Matrix is pretty good but also it has a lot of unoriginal ideas. They had to get permission from the creators of ghost in the shell to do the movies because they used so many ideas.

Definitely The Matrix.

T1 is pretty much unwatchable and T2 got over strictly on the FX of the Robert Patrick Terminator. T3 was the best of the bunch, which isnt saying much, but the ending did rule.

The Matrix by itself was better than the entire Terminator series. Matrix Reloaded was a bit off a let down. Matrix Revolutions looks like more recycled Matrix stuff. but hopefully theres some kind of swerve to make it worth it. Hopefully.

The Matrix sucks. Keanu should stick with Bill and Ted because he is THE worst actor ever.

Terminator 1 unwatchable?
I think its one of the best action movies ever.

T1 and T2 are the cinematic forebearers of the Matrix. Why do you think that Neo & Co. act so emotionless in the fight scenes? Because of Arnie vs. T-1000 that's why.

It also seems the Terminator series completely blows the Matrix series away. The first Matrix movie was great, but the sequel has absolutely killed the entire trilogy. The fact that you see some kind of "connection" between the series should tell you just how fucking blatant the Wachowskis are with their idea-stealing methods. Fucking twats.

Terminator series owns the Matrix for eternity. Terminator 1 unwatchable? at least the lead characters don't spew a load of mindless bore-inducing bile for 30 minutes at a time. Oh yeah, and Arnie doesn't fly away when he starts to lose a fight.

It really doesn't matter to me on which series is better. If I really had to pick one, it would be the Terminator series. Well if you notice Matrix was awesome then the second one was a disappointment, and who knows about the third one. As for Terminator, it keeped getting better every movie.

Uhh, Terminator, Duh.
There isn't such thing as a bad Terminator movie.

Matrix was awesome, but Reloaded sucked. Plus Revolutions hasn't even come out yet. If it's as bad as the second, the Matrix as a Trilogy will be one big FLOP.

The Aliens movies are better than both

But the BEST TRILOGY EVER! is coming out Tuesday. Indiana Fucking Jones:buttrock:

terminator man, it's leagues ahead of the matrix, in style, in action, in fighting, and in storyline; i mean the matrix has all those stupid creationism, religious babble. where the terminator doesn't care about that, the terminator is just about letting people know what will happen, giving us a glimpse at the future, and stopping it before it starts. plus arnie could kill keanu in a fight. here's what we have trinity vs. sarach connor, arnie vs. neo, and john connor vs. morpheus. arnie would win all three fights as he'd keep the other two alive, while crushing neo and the gang.

Terminator series eats MATRIX alive no doubts about it. How anyone could not like #1 is beyond me, other than someone nitpicking over the fact it's definately an 80's film... but that's not always a bad thing. I remember being skeptical about Rise of the Machines before it came out, thinking it would contradict #1 and the stuff Kyle Reese told Sarah... but in essecense, #3 wiped the floor with #2, and actually complimented #1 overall and ended the only way it should. No sugary coated bullshit... we're human and only capable of wicked deeds (Hence the Bible) thus Judgement Day (like the Rapture of Christians, the Battle of Armageddon etcetera) can be postponed by certain actions, but in the end it has to be, no two ways about it.

The Matrix, had it been a stand alone movie is a darned good flick... and actually I never got the end of Matrix #1 where he flew up into the clouds as being the set piece for a sequel. I had always assumed Neo was talking to the audience itself about not being able to tell us how it would all end, but that he could tell us what was, and that we all need to wake up to the thing inherent in our real world (our real lives so to speak) before something as outlandish as the events of the film itself could ever happen. *That ppl who opt for convinence will bascially pave the way for any future bullshit of enslavement/bondage, and only those who are open minded, and seek a higher truth are the facilitators of "Freedom". AND THEN I FOUND OUT IT WAS A TRILOGY... and the sequel just blew chunks.

Thus The Terminator and T3: Rise of the Machines wins hands down, as I don't expect much to come of Matrix Revolutions at all... prolly be as bad as George Lucas' final STAR WARS film, forever slaughtering a once great concept and movie series into pure shit. I'm still hoping for T4: Freedom In The Ashes but only time will tell, and I hope they bring back Nick Stahl as Connor and don't wait 10 more years for it.

TERMINATOR = Winnar

MATRIX = Losar
