It's almost here, and not only does it look amazing, it has Live support. I hope PGR2 has the same killer control the original did. I would definitely like to see some kind of competition from fellow forum members with this game, so let's get some hype going.

Oh yes! Aside from Halo 2 and Rainbow Six III, PGR2 is the one XBOX game I'm REALLY looking forward to this year! Comes out in mid-November, I think!

I haven't read all the much about the technical side of things, but I really hope it supports proper HD resolutions.

16x9 in 720p would be great (I would settle for 16x9 480p as well).

I can't wait for this. The driving fan in me can't wait and the graphics whore can't wait either. I can't wait!

I haven't read anything since XBox Mag reported 720p support as a rumor back in the spring.

I sure am looking foreward to it, though, even if it doesn't support 720p.

Well, 720p would be a lovely bonus.

Although I can tell by looking at the screenshots it still suffers from one major flaw that both the original DC and XBox versions had; flat buildings!

They really need to work on their texturing of the building as all of them look like painted cardboard boxes. :annoyed:

I think those are early screen shots, so it's possible the game will be more polished when it releases. At any rate, the only time most people really notice the scenery is during the replays so it shouldn't be too big a problem.

Gave this game a quick run at E3, seeing as how I wasn't too jazzed for it. However it seemed tighter on the controls and looser on the traction in general (i.e.- More arcade-y than before) and from my understanding the kudos system is even more leinient than PGR or MSR. I'll be snacking this up.

It has Edinburgh as one of the new cities, I can't wait to pull donuts outside my front door in a Ferrari.

I still don't understand why people are dogging the Kudos system. Are they dogging it from their own opinion, or are they simply reading someone elses ideas and jumping on the bandwagon? I sometimes feel that people let Cartoon Network or some reviews run their lives.

Heck, they simplified the Kudos system a whole lot since MSR. What's wrong with having some good driving and cool powerslides to get the medals easier? It's not that hard. Heck, those weened from games like Daytona should have no problem with it, in fact perhaps welcome it.

To me, I liked the system, not to mention they still had races and time attack in it. It was a multi-style game, and that's part of what makes it unique. I fear the removal of the system would make it one of those (Just another one of those games) type games.

PGR/MSR concentrated on some great technical racing, from an arcade standpoint. Best use of technical arcade racing I've seen since Daytona. Not to mention, you learn how they make tracks that look the same on an overhead map, but play completely differently. Solid controls and sliding that you swear came out AM2, plus (so far) some cool music aided with talents like Richard Jacques. You'd think this was the Sega game that wasn't made by them.

Remember that traction is car dependant. If you race one of those default FF cars and then you see someone racing in an FR, you'll see a world of difference. The series concentrated on both Drift and Grip styles, depending on the car. PGR expanded on that by adding 2 ways to keep slide Kudos going, so that the system wasn't biased towards vehicles with low traction. If you consider yourself good at racers, do not pass this one up at all. Especially since the Ghost Race feature is finally back. A feature that had me addicted many many hours on the original MSR.

The first PG was perfect in my opinion. Perfect mixture of arcade feel with simulation response. If they make the sequel to 'arcade-y', I will saddly leave the series and move onto GT4. :(
