Hi

I am interested in buying one of the two, but I was wondering which game will hold its price more? Also when MOTW first came out, what was its original price?

Cheers

Haven't played SVC yet...
But I really don't think that it will match Motw gameplay, which when it was realesed had the same price with other neo games.

SVC and Motw are two games that any neo fan's should own.
But if you have the opportunity to play with a friend, Motw is a game that you will never get bored with:D

And you don't need to be a hardcore gamer to play it.

Motw represents the highest point and potential of the neo.
Just buy Motw, you'll find a SVC an other time.:buttrock:

I enjoy playing chaos alot but I have to give it up to MOTW. It was the game that made me want a Neo geo cab. The graphics and gameplay have yet to be matched imo.

MOTW is a great game. only prob i found with it was it was a bit easy against the cpu while chaos is a tiny bit harder

I think MOTW will hold its own in the price war though as is still very expensive a few years later while chaos will i expect drop.

After finaly playing SvC, I can now comment on these kinds of issues!! If you are a fan boy like me, and you love capcom and snk you HAVE to get SvC purly for its fanservice and how it is unlike ANY capcom fighter, so you get new sprites/animation, and funny as hell opening dialogs between all of the fighters. If you want to get a purely inspiring fighter get MotW. It has georgous animations, sprites, supers, and a great story. It is a rock solid fighter, on par with SFIII. It is very easy to pick up, and the first fighter that I own that all my friends universily love. I own a phantom so I have the luxury of getting the mvs vers, of MotW($50!!!) I also pre ordered SvC so I get both:p . You should do the same!!!

I haven't played SvC yet, but I found MotW is nothing but some nice looking animations. sorry guys, but I can't see how MotW's gameplay can be compared with other SNK games like Last Blade and KOF 98. even FF: RBS is much better IMO.

and judging by watching some movies and reading some gameplay comments, SvC would be the better choice.

What comments are you reading? The game is sloppy.

Anywho, MOTW.

That's what I was thinking, I really wanted this game to be great.

My friend is pretty psyched about it also. :(

Let's hope they get it right with the second one.

Who didn't? It was just rushed; hopefully the sequel will fix all the ridiculous problems.

Worth 50 bucks for a port, though.

Anywho, MOTW.

the chain combo system (strong attacks followed by forward A/B) are enough to grant a better gameplay than MotW, which doesn't have any interesting combo system. not to mention the fast weak attacks and the cool character selection.

I know there no are hops or running, but the game is still excellent overall, from what I heard and seen.

as for the "sloppy" part, I heard this word a lot when KOF2002 was around and I don't see any minor problems with it's gameplay. there might be some, but nothing that completly ruin the game.

yet, I still need to play SvC to judge it

You haven't played the game and you're informing me the gameplay is better than MOTW?

The hitboxes suck. The controls are inconsistant. The game has weird glitches, from the screen freezing to lag on cross ups to sound effects just not there to genjuro shrinking an inch after his intro animation. The backgrounds are either great or shitty. Blah blah blah.

Yes, it is fun, but it will not stand its ground over time, whatever little ground it has.

I agree with you to an extent but Garou does have a very good combo system. Its different from your usual combos but its there, its elaborate and pretty original (way bettr the SF3's imo).
