I just cruised the SNK-Capcom forums, and noticed that traffic here is much heavier...... it is like comparing Podunk KS (SNK-Capcom.com) to Los Angeles CA (NG.com) in terms of usage.

Just thought I would say that Shawn and NG.com kick @$$:buttrock: :buttrock: :buttrock:

All hail to Shawn for the supreme website he hosts!

I think he is leaving the competition wondering what they are doing wrong.

It's not a term of competition, but things here are ok and sometimes wrong.

I think it's the overall layouts and anti-roms fella's that give a good spirit to this very site.

But when you talk about "HEAVIER" usage, you should also say that it's also full of morons coming from everywhere.

"Heavier" usage of Neo-Geo.com over SNK-Capcom.com is mainly due to 2 things:

1 - Domain name; it's easier to come across Neo-geo.com than SNK-Capcom.com.

2 - Neo-Geo.com is much older than SNK-Capcom.com so it has more members.

Maybe there are other reasons but I think that's why.

Vinh just opened his site, snk-capcom.com, not too long ago so I wouldn't say it's really fair to compare the two. Besides, I don't think Vinh is really trying to compete with neo-geo.com. The focus of each site is not exactly the same. :shame:

I have to admit. Spending time lurking s-c.c, on, srk, tnl and other sites, this is the only place I can really groove with. The rest just don't have the same attitude.

sc seems to really be more about playing the games, while ng is more about being a champion of the neo geo, and for those reasons ng stands out. there are plenty of players sites, but really only one that caters to all areas of the neo.

just my 2 cents.

@evilmike,

i hope you were making a joke when you said that about the roker, you post a lot also. not trying to start a fight, just looking for clarification. (and no i don't really know th roker, but i don't see the posts of his i run across as spam.)

All I know is that in the winter of early 2000, when I was looking for info on the Neo- this site and Garg7's temple were the only places to be (Actually, Nick the Fury's and Dolphinlord's were still around)

And this BBS has gone strong ever since.

We've had plenty of cool people and plenty of retards come and go- but NG.com is still it.

I remember thjis place when Shawn had his pics up and stuff about his dogs and magic cards and all.

Meh. I really don't have much of a use for n-g.com anymore, besides Tech and selling. I can get all my news from s-c.com, and all my gameplay from srk and ON...

Considering the short time snk-capcom.com has been open it has done amazingly well with over 2000 members allready, i did join when it first opened but it seems to have re opened as i am no longer a member.

It does have too much of a mix bag though, i like my forums i post to be pretty basic instead of all different machines and tournament guides,thats why i stay here instead of joining all other gaming forums.

I must say though the library of photos of posters and mvs kits is really quite amazing.
