Im going to have to be happy with a port.

I just emailed neo store about cancelling the order. Im not sure how they do this with pre-orders. Has anyone else done this in the past?

I didn't want to cancel it, but I feel uncompfortable about my standing at my job right now. So I think its wise to keep as much money on hand as possible just in case things go sour.

I hope the US PS2 port isn't far behind the Japanese one.

Edit: Changed the title a bit. I dont want to scare people into thinking something else for a split second. :make_fac:

Yeah I know how you feel! I was just moments away from preordering svc chaos, and I felt that I needed the money for something else! I will get it for the preorder on Nov 13 though!

That's too bad, dude. But, responsibility is a good thing. I guess I just figure it's money already spent, so if I need more, I'll find a way.

That said, my wife and I have good, stable jobs, soo...

:( If things work out by the 13th, just buy it then.

Sadly, I had to do the same.

My calipers went out in my car and the job cost 350 dollars

Suddenly my dreams vanished.

I also cancelled my pre-order but I shifted the money to the MVS/Jamma version. So now I get SNK vs Capcom action on Monday. Woot!

Sad thing is.. I'll probably pre-order again later!

Hm, it always amazes me how people here seem to always be on the verge of being broke. Doesn't anyone else give themself a little cushion in the bank before they begin buying games and such? Right now I would consider going under $2000 to be going into debt. If you think of it that way, you'll never be in trouble...

Broke? No not broke. Its just that things at my job have gotten... less plesant lately. I also have car bills and all that (though im paid ahead several months). I just think I should cut all excess expenditures until I know how things are going to pan out.

Well for some reason, people on here often say they need to sell a game to pay for something else. I take that to mean that they are generally living paycheck to paycheck... BUT I mean, these people are always buying tons of things, so I kind of figure that if some of them just saved up money for a while first then they wouldn't need to worry as much cause they'd always have an emergency cushion. Losing a job is a little different I guess, though....

ha ha, you're a funny one!

Let me detail it for you so you can wack off to it later:

Left rear caliper

Right rear caliper

Rear brake pads

Left rear brake pads

plus labor

p.s. forgot to mention this is for an Acura Integra GS-R 1.8 1996

Go online and look for some cheap prices on those rear calipers, then get back to me.

I've thought about cancelling myself and thought of starting a thread like this but I didn't dare to. Looks like someone else had the balls to do it instead.

Every time I think about cancelling a $350 purchase, I view the videos I saved and think how fun and unique this game is.

What also pressured me to cancel is the fact that a japanese AES game distributor is selling MOTW JP version on ebay right now, buy it now price for $350...

So that made me think... Hmm MOTW vs SVC...

So for now I'm keeping my preorder.

Well lets just say ppl that are willing to drop big bucks on Neo Geo games probably don't have lots of common sense to begin with ;)

Now before i get flamed, count me among those in debt. I'm currently $4500 in the hole myself  . Hopefully I'll be back in the clear by January 31, 2004...thats my goal.

How'd I get in this predicament? Bought the GF an engagement ring ($3600) so i wouldnt have to hear her complain about not having one (we've been together for 8 years now so I guess it was time to pony up)....had both of our cars take a shit ($2500) then decided to quit putting off my dreams of get the Neo again (about $3000) because I figured I was back in debt anyways so why not be in it for something that i wanted ;)

Up till the ring kicked things off, I had been debt free for about 3 years, which isnt much to brag for most ppl but is for me b/c I did the old BK flush 4 years ago.

Impulse buying, readily available credit, expensive games, RL expenses = debt. I cancelled my svcc pre-order a couple weeks ago, so that was a small step in the right direction for me. I really have to thank Shawn and the Neo-store for being so cool about it. Hopefully I'll be able to pick it up along with SSzero and MS5 down the road once my finances permit (when my debts are paid off and I have the money for those games in the bank)

As far as the bank cushion advice goes I think thats really great idea, and will try it once I pay everything off :)

Dang Droid. i still have a bit of savings left even though i havnt worked for over a year and instead of breaking into my savings when i got my svc jamma board, i sold my star wars collection instead.

Only thing what pisses me off now though is when ss zero comes out as no doubt i will want it too like i dont already ;) but now i have no star wars stuff left to sell to pay for it ,which means unless i get a job i cant have the game as no way am i dumb enough to fork out money on games when im not earning any.Who knows i might be that dumb :P

i was living in Gibraltar wheni started to collect Neo stuff again and i was quite lucky

low cost of living and extra money for being there helped alot

i still have savings but now i dont buy as much when i know a big cart is coming out, glad i have just been promoted - that should ease things a little

getting back in the rat race has been quite difficult:crying:

Well as a new years resolution I made up Jan 1, 2003, I am budgeting my videogame and fun money. Guys this works if you work at it.
I give myself $10 a week allowance to f**k around, which totals out to $520 a year. If I want to buy something else big, I sell stuff on Ebay. Lets just say that for my SVC preorder I had to sell a NM NEO memory card, 15 NES games, 7 genesis games, some TG16 stuff, PC games, a couple other AES titles, and whatever money I had left in my funny money account, I used up.

I use the fund register MS Money has on my Pocket PC to log everything down to Paypal deposits/withdrawls, Ebay fees, shipping fees, etc.

I'm tight with it all. And you know what guys, I've never bought more stuff in one year in the longest time because I keep selling my old stuff!

Man, I hate selling games and only do so when i know the games I currently have are complete crap.

I regret a few NES and SNES games I sold and wish I still had them.

Nowadays, some of those carts are a pretty penny and somewhat rare, not to mention they're not the ones I kept care of :(

True, true. There have been many games I wanted to keep but after finishing them, I didn't care to hold on to them while they depreciated. Case in point, PC games... man do they depreciate fast. I recently traded in Unreal 2 and got Iron Storm and SOF2 Gold :glee: I love FPS's

But there have been some PC games I decided to keep, b/c they were still very valuable to me.

This game called Revenant ; for those of you who liked Diablo and Landstalker, this game fits the bill. It is very underappreciated but plays with a gamepad like a dream. Retail V 1.0 is buggy, and I recommend that you DO NOT install any updates as they only made it worse but if it runs on your PC, and it really should, prepare for a great, colorful PS1-ish action RPG experience

God this game ran like shit on my PC, I honestly am suprised that it ran on anyone's computer.

Maybe eventually it will get a decent patch and it will run right.

Please explain what happened. Mine ran fine and all but would have an occasional silly bug that was temporary.

And as far as a patch... naa

Just randomly would crash out, then again I was running it on a Voodoo 3 with hacked divers for XP so that could have been the problem.

Now that you even mentioned that game it makes me want to hunt it back down and give it another try.
