Do any Neo-Geo Soccer games topple the almighty 'Sensible Soccer'?

Sensible Soccer on the Amiga is currently hailed as THE soccergame with the most playability. The question however is, do any Neo-Geo soccer games come close to toppling it in terms of gameplay?

Forget the teams stats and crap, let's talk GAME PLAY.

What do you think?

None of hte Neo Soccer games are any good. The best soccer games are Konami's International Superstar Soccer.

The Amiga had something worth playing? Sounds like something an amiga fan would say.

Ignore everything he said, except that ISS is at least good.

Sensible Soccer IS an all time classic, but even at the time was usurped by Snes original ISS.........

On the NeoGeo , i would recommend any Super Sidekicks game, Ultimate 11 & Neo Cup 98 inclusive, be warned that the first SS game is very different but still good, my fave is SS3.........probably cause its the one i own.

Tecmo World Cup is enjoyable also, for an alternative.

The Winning Eleven/Pro Evolution series are the greatest football games of all time, some even best games ever ever........

Go for Pro Evo, or Pro Evo 2 on PSX/One..........or Maybe the PS2 Pro Evos/W11's, but i prefer the 32bit versions.

Any Sensible Soccer or any SWOS ( Amiga versions of course ) are infinitely way more fun than any other soccer game.

The game play is solid as a rock and the fun is still unbeatable.

@wasabi : Tons of Amiga games are worth to play, but by the look of your comment, I see you as a "consolero" .
So... Nothing good on the Amiga for you! :(

You should give a try at some games.

Have you played ISS deluxe on your SNES? It's the sequel to ISS, and a tad better. As for the Neo soccer games, I hold my ground. The AI is so crummy. Instead of THINKING more, the AI makes your players tire faster, and the computer's players super powered as the tournements progress. Really really sad AI there.

Speaking about amiga ....
I just can't believe nobody mentioned "Kick Off" by Anco
This was what everything started from...

football whahay

I love topics about football

Winning Eleven is the best franchise ever and always gets better

ISS on Nintendo 64 was great in it's day

Kick Off and Sensible Soccer on Amiga were both excellent at the time but deteriated as soon as they reached the consoles

Lets not forget Mach day on the speccie !

best combination i think is Winning Eleven7 and CM 4
