Running my weekend game store at a flea market can be frustrating when dealing with buyers, especially when they think they can buy a new release for $10, just because it's at a flea market.
But it's those who sell or trade games to me that give me a smile more often than not as nearly every weekend I end up buying something very good or rare for dirt since people don't know the value of what they have.
After doing this for over 2 years and getting countless golden nuggets over that time, after this past weekend I just had to post some of the purchases I scored the last 2 days, bearing in mind that all amounts are in Canadian funds:
River City Ransom - $5
-Although it was cart only, I've never had the pleasure of buying this before but a seller had this along with 19 other games. I bought his lot which had some very good selling titles (I must now have over 200 NES games for sale
), but this was definitely the crown jewel.
Boxed NES system (Challenge set w/Mario 3) - $10
-This was also a first as I'd never been offered a boxed system before. To be honest, this item I scored a month ago and have yet to sell it. The box is mint and the system was exquisite. I left it displayed as if for sale along with my other systems and always get offers for it, but I only display it to tease people. I simply can't part with it although I don't collect NES stuff.
Mega Man 6 - $5
-Again, cart only but in immacualte condition with the sticker brilliantly shiny. I immediately put this game aside as I have a customer who's been looking for this game for the better part of a year.
Contra: Hard Corps - $2
-Although it's Genesis and it's games are virtually worthless save for a handful, this was still Contra and it's complete and mint. I put it out for sale but only a serious Genesis collector will notice it at all.
Metal Gear Solid - $5
-OK, I know this is PSX and it's hardly a valuable game, but it's not the Greatest Hits version and the entire package was simply immaculate. It was just a joy to see a masterpiece like this in this condition. I was so impressed that I decided to keep the game for myself, and I don't own any other PSX game.
Well, this is all I scored this weekend, save for the NES, but I'll likely post again next Monday if any other cool stuff comes my way.

) A time came when they decided to sell the saturn, and the game was there, along with its original RAM cart and the ST-Key... I was so happy that day
...next time I talk to corrie's older bro I'll tell him you've got a minty Mega Man game
