Mine changes with every 25 posts

But I still have no idea what determines the saying. I just thought they were all the same except for the mods and such.

These titles under the name are absolutley the pinnacle of stupidity.

Cham Cham's Banana?
Kula's Candy?

I mean... are we 2 year olds?

Oh look for the next 25 posts I'm "another striker".

Maybe next, I'll be a "Happy Monkey", "Silly Goose" or "Bouncy Ball"...

I mean, come on!

The old way of "member" for people with 50 or more posts, "moderator" and "junior member" was really a great way to go. Point was made and you were not labeled like a toddler.

But now we get this.

Thie is one of the few times, I wonder what the hell was going through our friendly host's head. Maybe he was thinking, "I know what Neo people need, silly titles! Surely a cute name will bring joy to their lives!" It had to be something like that. I mean, Shawn, I truly love the new site, but this naming thing is just a joke.

How about a coding system only (there is one currrently) and not the titles? What do they REALLY add?

You know I'm gonna cut and paste this into the suggestions forum and catch some flack fo it. BRING IT ON. ;-)

I agree rim as these names are pointless and mean absolutely nothing.

Hey I like the "Happy Monkey" one.

Those are the titles that were used on the old message board (at least from when I joined). I don't think it's that strange.
Maybe you have somekind of issues with seeming mature and masculine.:spock:

It's just a internet message board so some little title under my username has absolutely no affect on my real life. If nothing else it's just a bit funny and fits in because of the snk references.

Hell, they could call me "Cham Cham's enflamed swollen booty rash cream with aloe and vitamin E" and I wouldn't care.

This is the same ranking that the board use to use. After one of its updates it lost them all. I can't remember when we had it last, but it was either last year or early this year.

A lot of folks complained that they missed it.

I do like how it isn't so static, and there is always something to see. Although I still like my custom rank of PFC Metal S. Lugnut

I like this system. I'm not a big fan of the rank but the star system is cool. Just like grades for the neo Army.

That's what I am saying, the stars or symbols are cool, it's the titles I am not crazy about.

Is there any chance one could get their title 'frozen' at one point? 'Cause I wouldn't mind being known as King's (insert monkey phrase here)

I would much rather have my member number back then these names. I did not like them back when and still do not. Wouldn't mind having a permanent name, but member number would suit me just fine.

I think these titles are just plain funny and add a little fantasy to this board. And it should help those who take their "forum life" too seriously. ;)

charlie,

you know i like you, and most of the time your posts are of value, but what did a comment like that add to the conversation?

i mean, really? you offer no specific issue of complaint or solution...

so what's the point of it?

I enjoy the ranking system names, and was glad to see them return. I would like to see the member numbers return as well.

Apparently, from 600-624 posts, one is ranked as "Belnar Institute Student." Now, I don't know if "Belnar Institute" was the way Kokuritsu Berunaaru Gakuen was mistranslated in the English-language edition of the Gowcaizer game (I know they mistranslated it that way in the English-language edition of the Gowcaizer anime), but the correct translation of the name of the academy in the Gowcaizer storyline is "National Velnare University."

I think the names are cool because while some of them might be stupid and make no sense. There a couple ever now and then that make me really go WTF and I feel the urge to find out where the Neo Geo reference is in the name.

Just noticed that Stephane is currently ranked as "Genam's Azami Sharpener." Who the hell is Genam? If this is supposed to be Gen-an, who should we be reporting rank name misspellings to?
