I figured it would work.

I bought the XBOX version and this is a damn fine stick...the best you can get from any mainstream store. I was surprised at the quality and it's well worth the price.

Reward Pelican's efforts by buying these joysticks. Perhaps good sales of this product will convince Pelican and other manufacturers that we want real joysticks and not the cheap stuff that they used to sell prior to the Pelican Arcade stick.

are the buttons programmable?

Id love to be able to have a joystick that had an

A B

C D

button configuration for samurai shodown.

I really dont like the standard ABCD style.

Same here i got 1 of each , what did it for me was the Xbox live support i did not think twice, and since im so satisfied Im thinking of picking up the Cube version for the Hell of it. There are no fighters, but you know how these Items tend to dissapear after a while, and since they went down to 49.99 plus my discount Im good to go. It's too bad the Cube got nothing to offer, oh well Back to the Neo , Ps2 and Xbox.

Thats exactly how it is, and yes you can program them as long as it's an option in the Game itself, right now Im playing Kof 2k and it's Square Tri = punches, X and o = kicks not bad at all but just for me because I can Adapt to anything or any configuration I never Whine About the Controls, like some of my buddies you know what I mean.

Is it also possible to progam the Neo buttons on the L1/R1/L2/R2 buttons?

Because my PS joystick has this layout:

L1 Squ Tri R1
L2 XXX Cir R2

HELL YEAH!!! I had no idea such a convertor existed for the Neo Geo! I just bought 2 of them. My Neo controller problems are now over FOREVER!!!

Plus I can now easily play my Neo games on my arcade cabinet (wired for PS2 and DC) whenever I friggin want!!! Hot damn!

Yeah im happy about this. :) I dont like the classic Neo stick (sacralige I know, but its true). Ive gotten used to using a Neo CD pad, but this will be 12 times better! And just in time for SVC: Chaos!! :buttrock:

Hi a link for this joystick would be great. I have been searching for 20 minutes and just come up with a horrible green joystick whereas the photo looks great

thanks

Eh, the pics are hosted by gamestop.com :)

So go to Gamestop.com and do a search on "real arcade", they are $59.99 from the website but if you go to their store, they have it for $49.99 (if they have it in stock).

Thanks for the pelican link. I nearly bought one but it looks like i might be out of luck. Fired up SS1/2 and it doesnt look like there are button config options. *doh* those are the games i want it for...Nem if you have either SS1/2 can you check if the pelican works ok with it and how the abcd buttons are configured?

Thanks :)

Pelican is soon releasing a version of the Real Arcade joystick that will be compatible with PS2/XBOX/GC and will retail for about 59.99. Worth waiting for in my opinion.

thanks for the review, ordered me 2 of them.

I have 4 old style pads and all of them have a malfunction and are wearing out.

Hope I can find me some decent psx sticks.

Of these and building your own stick out of real arcade parts, which would you recommend?

these look badass and I have been thinking of trying something new to replace my old style sticks.

Depends on how good you are at building...lol They are really nice controllers, just go to a local gamestop or EB and check them out. The packaging on them is open so that you can jam on them and get a feel for it. I perfer my Mass joystick with perfect 360

I would recomend building your own. Theres nothing better, and its not really that hard to do. I recomend getting Ultimate pushbuttons, and super joysticks. Thats what I used when I built my cabinet, and they work perfectly! Better than the arcade because they haven't had the shit beat out of them by little kids. :buttrock:

I grabbed 2 of the converters for SvCC. I hope they get here before it does! I'll be using a stick with them for now. May pick up another fighter FT pad. (sold my first one to subcons)

You can get the converters cheaper if you buy from the source at tototek.com FYI

Thanks for the link to tototek.com, ouch, the shipping (EMS) is more than the converter itself (EMS to USA)! Anyone know how much shipping with Lik-Sang is?

How long did it take to ship from Lik Sang? Its been a week since I recieved notice of it shipping, and still nothing.

Im planing on getting the Saturn versions also, but I want to see how well they work first hand before buying more of them.

This is a dream come true for me. Ill be able to use Xbox, GC, PS1 & 2, DC, Sat, and Neo Geo with my cabinet. It'll just take 10 seconds to switch systems. Saves me dozens of hours of soldering and building quick pin dissconects :)
