I decided that it is time for me to get a Neo CD to go along with my AES. I really do not mind load times that much and I am very excited about the better sound quality the the Neo CD games supposedly offer. I do however have a few questions:

*What is better to collect, USA or JP Neo CD games?
*Are US games rarer and more expensive then JP Neo CD games?
*Do the JP games have better artwork or are they all the same?
*Where can I find a complete Neo CDZ system?
*Are JP Neo CD games as easy to find new as US Neo CD games?
*Are Blazing Star and Pulstar on the Neo CD?
*What are some good things to know before I go buying and collecting Neo CD games?

Thanks in advance and please excuse my stupid questions. I am new to the Neo CD afterall, what can I say? ;)

*It depends in your taste, there's no really a big difference
between US and JP CD games.

*Most US CD games are a little expensier than JP ones, and
harder to find of course.

*Most of them are the same, right now I don't recall any different
covers, however the only difference is that all JP games are
in Jp, that includes back, front, manual and spine; while
US cd's in English.

*JP Games are easier to find NEW/Sealed than US games,
but there's also some US cd's that can be found new still.

*Only Pulstar is available.

*Good things to know, they are cheaper, they can be good
to try, prices can bary sometimes specially when a rare
cd comes out, small bidding wars take place etc..., It's not a
sought out market as the Homecart market is though, so
you may have better luck. Also MINT cd's are easy to find,
and by MINT I mean nearly new, with spine and scratchless
cd's. Also take in mind what are you going to be doing
with your CD's, are you going to be collecting them? or you
going to play some of them? are you looking for mint or
new cd's? Anyway there's reallly no much trouble collecting CD's.

Thanks for the informative reply.

I am going to be playing the CD's and collecting them as well. It is pretty easy to keep CD's scratchless if you are careful when you put them in your system. The abundance of new Neo CD's for cheap prices is what makes me want a Neo CD system. You can get a complete collection of mint Neo CD's for pretty cheap and without much hassle compared to getting a complete AES or MVS collection from what it looks like. At first I am going to be shooting for some of the older titles that are hard to find mint on the AES such as Baseball Stars 2, Windjammers, Gan Gan, Nam, Last Resort, etc. I am pretty sure that these won't have too much of a load time, correct? Personally, do you mix JP and US Neo CD's in your collection or do you go all US or all JP?

Edit: I noticed that Blu has a large quantity of new US Neo CD's at the moment, are his prices pretty good?

You should go with whatever is available and the best price as the game itself is the same whether the art work is JP or US

World heroes 2 jet has the best most compact art work on it i feel

loading times for games such as shodown 2 is only 20 seconds per fight, fatal fury special 12 secs per fight and some games load the whole level up at once such as top hunter and metal slug

However the kof games load 1 fighter at a time so it can be very annoying stopping and starting, especially when u only need two hits to defeat a fighter and then wait till it loads again

DO NOT GET savage reign as this was the game which made me give up on the neo cd , it takes like 40 seconds to load each vs screen then after it loads that it then loads the level and its annoying as fuck.

Yes, it is much less of a hassle to collect cd's than carts, but
it takes time and dedication to find the right items. The games
you mentioned above do not have long loading times, but I
tell you, there's game which get really frustrating just a warning.
I have a complete US/JP collection, but I am looking forward
to getting separate collections as well as a sealed one. Mixing
it is good IMO.

Blue has some good games and prices, and he is opening his
cd site soon. Make sure to check out the neostore for a bigger
stock of games, lots of them are sealed and others used.
