How may people here have a GP32?

I have one, a FLU. They are great, but I'd suggest that you wait awhile and see what's going to come out for the Zodiac. If you have enough cash, you should plan on buying a Zodiac.

I got a GP32 from VanillaThunder a few months back, a NON-FLU one and it's pretty cool. The emu scene is key with it, especially since the games that are released for the system largely suck (ugh, Little Wizard is crap). Turbo Grafx emulation is awesome and SNES is pretty good on it.

But I'm definitely curious about the Palm system too.

Yeah the Zodiac seems to be all the rage right now, but I think the GP32 warrants a purchase also. It has so many homebrews and emulators right now without waiting to find out what will show up for the Zodiac. The one clear advantage the Zodiac will have however, is much better commercial games. That alone may be enough fo me to get one of those also, but then again the PSP comes out next year, so who knows.

Nothing wrong with Gameboy or NGPC, I have those also. It's just the GP32 is a completely different handheld with the homebrew scene, this thing would be even better if some real companies would develop commercial games for it, but that will never happen. In the beginning there was word that Capcom was gonna develop for the GP but obviously that never came about.

I pretty much only watch divx on my gp32 these days, and I think it's a great little machine for doing so.

To me, the only emulator worth playing at this time is ljgp. I'm looking forward to the point when genesis emulation gets good, but it seems like a long way off. GPEngine won't replace my Turbo Express until it supports samples and has perfect speed.

The Zodiac looks extremely cool, palm OS plus games sounds good, if it has good video playback and gets homebrew support for emus I'll definitely pick one up.

How do you like that Kimch-Man game? It's pretty weird isn't it? The music in it is kinda catchy.

I have one and love the hell out of it. But I like NeoSneth say wait for the zodiac. It's a bit more expensive but is like a GP32 only way better. Plus I plan on getting the 128 version but I have to save some money first.

The game is pretty good and funny the only thing that sucks is the game is not in English

 I don't think you'll be planning on buying the Tapwave Zodiac then!! Since there are two versions, the $300 one with 32MB of RAM and $400 one with 128MB RAM.

LOL, the gameboy systems are all trash. Total and complete. The original had a blurry crappy b&w screen, the GBC had a slightly less blurry but dim and low-res (and low color) screen, the GBA has a dim screen with a terrible d-pad, and the GBASP is too tiny, has a washed out frontlit screen, and again the terrible d-pad. The games for the GBA aren't bad, but the system makes them unplayable to me.

The Sony handheld due out in the next year or two looks to be a good option, if they don't f* it up.

Don't know anything about the Zodiac, but the N-Gage looks to be really bad, probably will be DOA in the market.

I got one - had it ages and I dont really use it that much.
Its a tidy little machine alright, but a lack of decent 'propper' games (not homebrew stuff) is a real dissapointment. It might be fun to tinker with for a while, but to be honest, most of the homebrew stuff only holds my interest for a few minutes.

The GBASP is a much better machine for gaming. It might not be as flexible or powerfull, but the games are there (and a lot better) and its more compact.
