I was wondering why Ninja Master's is such an expensive game. Is it considered the best fighting game on the Neo Geo? I certainly is the most expenisve so I guess that people must really like it a lot.

I have been told that the Samurai and Last Blade series are much better but none of them cost nearly as much as a Ninja Master's. I have played Ninja Master's a few times and i think that it is a great game but I am not sure that it is worth the $600+ it costs for the Japanese version or $1,000+ for the English version. I am guessing the price has to do with the rarity of the game but know knows. What do you think on this issue?

Rarity.

It came out at around the same time as Sam Sho 4, and of course during the Playstation and Saturn hayday.

Not many people picked it up, thus it became a very rare cart to find.

The game in my opinion is just so so.

Yeah, it's mainly down to the rarity, although a lot of us here really like the game a lot. If you want some more info about it I wrote an in-depth review of it that you can find here.

Cool, I have read that review and it is very good. It tells a lot about this game and is very indepth. I happen to have a fancy for this game. I once had an English copy but sold it some time ago. As soon as I get enough bones to pay for it, I will see if I can score copy.

the game is rare? $1000 bucks worth of rarity!!?!! When I played this game at neobuyer's place I just thought it was like any other title for the home system. And I liked it very much but wanted to play some samurai showdown.

No I feel bad because I may never get to play this game again. Neobuyer is always working hard at his job and dosen't have time to play neo anymore:crying:

The English version costs up to $1,100 if you want to know the cold hard facts. The Japanese version in tip top condition will go for nearly $700 bones if you can find it. A very expensive game indeed. Not just a fun game to play but a serious collection piece. This is not a game for a casual gamer IMHO. I would say that only the neo elite would own something like this. :drool_2:

Well since the topic has gone off from info to opinion...

I think that the game is Ace too. The dial a combo is good fun and adds a bit to the game. I saw some bad ass abusable combos in a combo vid once.

:crying: I don't know how to get there because it's been awhile. And you have to go through some kind of alley to get there also.

I knew he had a nice collction of games, but I didn't know he was the master.

Ninja Masters is tops :)

It became pretty rare to find because it was originally released around the say time as Last Blade, and shortly after SSIV so disappeared into obscurity pretty quickly.

It's quite pricey both in Japan and the West, and a recent resuragence in its popularity won't help see the price drop for the foreseeable future.

I'm sure the MVS cart is realtively cheap :)

He is indeed the master but you may become a master too as well. You just have to work hard at it. keep the faith brother!

Ninja Master's.... What a great game. The more I play this gem, the more I like it.

In fact, I think it is more fun than Lastblade, but that's just me.

It is dark and moody... Graphics look okay at a glance but I appreciate it more each and passing day. I think this game deserves a revival, part 2, or a straight port to DC or something b/c I love playing it.
