You'll probably like the second one more, most people do.
Most people people like the first Last Blade more from what I have read, including me.
Originally posted by Lee Gray I like them both although the first one has the edge and has two bosses instead of one plus each fighter has their own backdrop The boss in last blade 2 isnt as hard to beat either
I disagree, Last Blade 2 is a much harder game overall and the boss in Last Blade 2 is much harder to beat then the boss in Last Blade. Musashi is a pushover, all you have to do is wait for him to do his overhead strike and block it, after this there will be a slight lag time before he can do another move which allows you to do a combo or DM. Musashi is very lazy when it comes to blocking, he leaves himself open all the time. Kagami in the second round can pose a bit of trouble sometimes but still nothing that hard to deal with.
I own both Last Blade and Last Blade 2 and like both of them for different reasons. Last Blade seems better to me because I am sucker for atmosphere. The atmosphere in Last Blade 2 does not hold a candle to the atmosphere found in Last Blade. The backgrounds, the music, and the overall presentation of Last Blade is better. Don't get me wrong, Last Blade 2 still has great backgrounds and music but they are not in the same league as Last Blade. I love the music the starts to play as text is shared between characters in the last round before the boss fight, the music that begins as the second round against Kagami starts up, the music at the ending, the wonderfully orchestrated intro etc. Although gameplay wise, Last Blade 2 outshines Last Blade 1. The addition of air recovery as well as being able to recover when hitting the ground is a huge plus. The new characters, namely Hibiki and Setsuna are wonderful additions and both characters have great depth, especially Hibiki. Last Blade 2 also has some wonderful backgrounds in its own right such as the fire and forest stages. The addition of EX mode which is a combination of both speed and power mode is also a huge plus for Last Blade 2. I find that for two player Last Blade 2 is a lot more fun but for the single player experience Last Blade is better. To answer your question, yes, if you are a Last Blade fan both are must haves.
