There are tons of games out there that should get their due and never do. Games get left by the wayside and forgotten as gamers run off to buy the newest sequal to their favorite game. One of those games is The Mark of Kri.

I am not sure how many of you out there have heard of this game, but it is a game that should have been able to read classic status, but sadly it only reached bargin bin status.

The presentation and style of this game is that of a cartoon almost. Cel shading be damned, cartoon characters should only hope to look this good in 3D. And the shound effects make you feel like you are truly there.

At it's heart, this is sort of thinking mans action game. Sure you can run around and kill everything is you want which is a blast when you get the spear and axe later in the game, but the true fun comes from trying to do everything in stealth. And the stealth is somewhat of a challenge without having a radar to show you where all the enemies are.

If you own a PS2, you owe it to yourself to check out this game. Everyone here on the forums seems to have some love for games that deserve to hit the mainstream, but never do. So check it out, now.

Seriously, stop whatever you are doing and check itout:p

That game got HUGE hype though.

I loved the demos I played, it seemed like a newer-style violent Disney movie, kind of like Mulan without singing or talking dragons.

Very unique and awesome fighting system too.

The crow is the shit!

Awesome game! I am really sad that we arent going to get a sequel. Incredible gameplay and gripping animation. Closest to playing Conan since WeaponLord.

Ya, I forget where I read it, but I believe that the games was susposed to be a trilogy. Now that would have seriously rocked:buttrock:

The commerical with the guy at the self-defense class was awesome. I think that's something PS2 has in spades over its competitors, hilarious advertising.

some people avoid this game for it's short length, but they don't know what they're missing. this game completly felt like an old-school game. aren't most these classic games short and you return to them every once in a while? Mark of Kri is just the same.

Man, this was a good game. Great artwork too. Too bad the poor sales = no sequel. I'm still waiting for Ico 2...

Ya, it is funny that the only 2 games I think Sony did that I really love, this and Ico, sold so poorly. But I do not understand why Ico is getting a sequal while Mark of Kri is left to fade off.
