Guys,

I completely revamped the bottom base which looks MUCH better. I've also added the following:

• Pause Button
• (2) Credit/Coin Buttons
• Reset Button
• Uni-Bios Upgrade
• Wires have now been ran internally

Just wanted to share my newest creation with all of you.

You have to see this thing in person; that's how cool it is :) I included every possible MVS option (besides a lit marquee) in this beast. I am simply waiting on a Uni-Bios. It has a stock US MVS bios as we speak.

I plan on making custom name badges to be applied to the system also.

Thanks for your interest,
Kpj

honestly, I'm just waiting for someone to gut a microwave and insert a consolized MVS unit inside.

I feel like a dummy :)

I would like to thank ALL who helped me with this project, including SuperGoose79, Broken, Robert Wallace, John Smith, MKL, & any one else that has passed on some tips. (If I've forgotten your name, please contact me & I will edit this post).

This really wouldn't have happened without the help of the board's finest members :)

Thanks again to all who participated.

This kinda stuff really annoys me! I'd love to make veritable pieces of art like this but alas, electronics are NOT my cup of tea. (Big bear can attest to this)
So how do you guys do this stuff anyway, how do you know what goes where and how things will fit together? Do you just have the necessary tools just lying around? I'm tempted to try and do this with my 4 slot, but i'll be royally screwed if something goes wrong. Is consolizing something that can be done by a beginner?:annoyed: :help:

Looks really cool,

What exactly is the point of having credit leds on the board?

:help:

And also, one thing I've never understood about consolized mvs systems - won't the open sides just allow dirt to get in?

The Grand Money Shot!

Here's another pic that was just taken (for the SuperGun Repository)!

The PSU has around a 24+ foot cable, so you can be a good distance from an elecrictrical outlet.

She's a beauty, I am very excited about this :)

I'd like to purchase a mvs board, and play around with it as well, but outside of sauldering a few things in my lifetime, and working with RC cars I really have little/no electrical experience.

What would u guys recommend reading up on to start working with mvs consolized systems, etc?

Also, which mvs boards accept the standard controller ports? Which ones have led hookups?

http://www.hardmvs.com is a great place to start. You can find out about each MVS motherboard and which has controller ports, memory card readers, headphone jacks, etc. Making one of these consolized boards in theory is very easy. Check out the http://www.sgrepository.com and have a look at some of the consolized MVS board there. Particularly look at Broken's two slot as he includes very good pictures of the wiring, notice how few wires there? Its not that hard :)

Now making a consolized board look really sweet like kennys (and other members) requires a bit more skill.

I assume the link cable ports were added for humor...

Cool though...if only MS5 was out you could fit all 6 slug games and take one badass picture.

Just for the record....I now hate you :very_ang:

Now onto the reason for hate. Damn you never cease to amaze me when it comes to your projects. That is just badass. I was thinking the other day how cool would a consolized 6 slot work and here it is.

Hopefully oneday I will be able to get around to doing one, been trying out my soldering skills on a dead Asus motherboard.

Question: What did you mount the board to on the bottom?

This thing is seriously badass. :)

No, I didn't add those. I think they're used for games like League Bowling & Riding Hero. I think (I may be wrong) that the actual MVS boards can be link somehow for some reason.

These are NOT headphone jacks (yes, they are the same physical piece, but no sound is going to them)

If anyone else knows what they are, please jump in & correct me :)

Thanks for all the complements guys!

I had to make a custom "cabinet" to hold the whole mess of wires. Not to mention, I need the Memory Card sub-board to sit somewhere (I wanted the whole thing self-contained, rather than a seperate module for the card reader).

Sometime in the recent future, I would like to get a metal covering for the bottom cabinet. It would look more professional, but I don't work with metal (yet).
