If you're into buying and collecting aes games, how much for you do insertion marks on the cart take the value down? Me for example, I'm a gamer, but I take care of my stuff. I'm also into homecarts, expensive, I know, but I'm gonna play everything I own no matter what.

Myself, I don't actually mind insertion marks, because that means someone else has enjoyed the game as much as I will. But at the same time, I try to look for games that haven't been played too much. (i.e. gamer's condition)

What does everyone else think?

When you mention insertion marks, could you be a little more specific. Are you referring to those three scuff marks lined up with the borders on the cart and the system. I'm not a collecter but what bothers me is the little nics that the SNK insignia can do to the back of a home cart if not cover by bubble wrap or a paper towel.

Yeah, the scuffs.

OMG!! I never even thought about the back of the cart!

Ah, well, who's gonna see the back anyway...

Mr. Puzzler,

The insertion marks do not devalue a cart too much. A dead mint cart will sell for 10%-20% more than one that is dead mint insertion marks aside.

BB is right about the SNk logo and that is the reason I use Shock boxes, they are truly a lot better than the gen 1 box in construction, close to the gen 2, but have a better closing mechanism and DO not screw the carts ups.

Also, please return the glass the S.M.*** came in, we only have on and other new members need to be given their dues.

If you use a SHOCK BOX for a Home Cartridge,I recommend bubble wrap be placed at the base of the case to keep the cartridge tightly in place.
