I absolutely LOVE when the classics are included as hidden bonuses on the the new generation games! Good news for Ninja Gaiden fans that may make getting the new Ninja Gaiden game worthwhile! Read on:

http://microsoft.gamerfeed.com/gf/news/4288/

Today it was revealed that the Xbox version of the game will include the original Ninja Gaiden game, as well as the second and third installments of the franchise. That's right, you'll be getting four games for the price of one. It won't be that easy though; apparently the games need to be unlocked somehow.

The news was revealed during an interview in which the man behind the game, Mr Itagaki stated, "There were three original Ninja Gaiden titles. Everybody asks me what the common points are between the original Ninja Gaiden and my new version. These people are fans of the original, which is why Ninja Gaiden 1, 2 and 3 will be included as hidden features in Ninja Gaiden on Xbox. "

Sweet. The game looked great already, but that seals the deal. Unless they royally screw up the ports, that is.

I wonder if these will be the straight NES versions or the "enhanced" versions that came out on the hard-to-find NINJA GAIDEN TRILOGY that was released for SNES in the mid 1990's?

Either way, nice bonus!

:( Damn, I thought it was going to have the "Arcade Version" as well included, along with a mail in offer to win a life size TINA or Kasumi "Real Doll" to bang away on on those nights the Fiancee'/Wife wasn't in the mood.

Oh well, guess I should just be happy TECMO... Ahem... TEAM NINJA is being as cool as they are.

THE QUEST FOR FREEDOM CONTINUES...

I hate the Ninja gaiden SNES remakes. The sound was messed up and something was wrong with the way it played.

Having the mega Drive version, gameboy one, game gear, and arcade would be awesome. I guess 3 will do.

Thats fucking sweeet :buttrock:
I love it when they do that too. Like with Rygar, except, I never did find that one. Besides I got so pissed at that game it's not even funny.

I can't say any better than that.

Not to mention they fucked up Ninja Gaiden 3 by taking out my favorite tune from the NES version and shuffling up the music.

It would have surprised me if they didn't do that. They know that many customers will be ninja gaiden fans so this kind of bonus will be much appreciated.

Just one arcade version that I'm aware of.
The series kind of recreated itself on the NES and continued on for 3 games. The Lynx handheld got the original version as well as a port of the NES NG3. THe Game Gear got 1 or 2 original versions.
Then there was the PC Engine recreation of the NES Ninja Gaiden 1, as well as a Mega Drive version of the arcade NG. I think the last we saw of NG was the SNES Trilogy edition.

There's too many points to Ditto, so I'll just make a big one.

D I T T O !

Man, I was just hoping that he would include the whole series as opposed to just the first game. Very sweet deal. I was going to buy it anyway, but this game is starting to feel as bonus worthy as the good ol' Sonic Jam on the Saturn. Still, I bet Itagaki will get some kind of standing ovation the moment they demo the new Ninja Gaiden and the Firewheel activates. :) :) :) Fans are diehard enough for a moment like that to bring a tear to their eye.

There's a NG for Sega Master System also.
