Mine is pretty cool with it. She'll even sit there and watch me play games sometimes (although she usually falls asleep). She does enjoy a good FPS deathmatch, though. She refuses to buy me games, but doesn't mind me spending the money on them. I tell her that most gamers would kill for some of this stuff.:D

Mines pretty cool with it. Sometimes she will blown up on me for spending HUNDREDS on games. But once she plays it, she loves them. It's a good feeling when that happens :D

ALSO, she makes me lists of games SHE wants, and FORCES me to get too.

Mine cant stand it. I cant hang up my frame posters or play games without being made to feel as though im neglecting her. Now I pretty much only collect carts to display and know that theyre there.

She has her reasons, but I love them both so much.....:crying:

My girl is pretty cool with it all. I have a Garou art set up on the wall and some of my carts on display, not to mention having some other bits and bobs out and about.

Also, she is adamant that I get a game room when we move house in the Spring.

She's cool.

I'm Trevor Spencer's girlfriend and I have absolutly no problem with him playing video games, if I did I'd be a bit of a hipocrit cos I'm always playing them aswel :glee:

It's great, I like playing alot of RPG's, ive asked him to teach me how to play some 2D fighters but he totally hogs them, its ok tho cos i like watching him.

I watched him playing Halo for 5 hours even tho first person games make me violently, ill but I guess thats love.

Oh yeah Blackspy totally agree with your girlfriend bout the games room

My wife is totally cool with my collection, hell, she let me put a six slot MVS cab in our living room. She's really into playing Bust-A-Move and SSX as of late. I'm trying to get her into some of the classic systems like the Neo, TurboGrafx/PC Engine and the Geneisis. She likes the Sonics on the Genesis, Kieth Courage in Alpha Zones on the TG16 and Magical Drop 2 and ROTD on the Neo.
My wife = :buttrock:

Mine's pretty okay with it. She wishes that I'd save more and says that I've got a lot of stuff.

On the other hand, if I ever start selling something, she starts quizzing me to make sure that I *really* want to sell it and that I won't regret doing it. She also knows that I manage my funds enough to pay the mortgage, keep saving on my RRSP, pay for most bills and expenses. Granted I do occasionally need her help now and then with groceries, but that's usually during tight months [5 mortgage payments + property taxes] and I don't usually buy games when that happens. (Considering that she lives with me, she doesn't have many living expenses to deal with. :P)

She does occasionally play some games (Animal Crossing, Super Monkey Ball, Windjammers, Puzzle Bobble, Metal Slug(s), X-Men Jamma) and seems to like it when I get around to actually play games. (I don't have much time lately.)

I wouldn't really call it a collection...I actually play them all and I'm all for buying them used/abused as long as they work. I think if I just bought them or was into all the game-related collectibles she might think I'm a bit silly...or if I spent beyond my means, which I don't, she'd be a bit PO'ed. Other than that, I think she's fine with it. She's referred to it as "cute" and she's always up for some puzzle games, especially if she manages to win...

She thinks we need to get the SvC jamma so I don't have to deal with the public embarassment of her kicking my ass at it at the arcade...
:crying: (..and I'm the one that got her into fighting games....)

My wife deep inside hates my collection..I have way too much stuff..It's everywhere..

Even though she's very much into games and the Neo Geo..I can tell she'd rather my stuff be in less quantity...

She collects Coca Cola stuff, and I help with that...but her collection is not like mine..

She's going to flip when she sees the size of the next thing I bought..

Nevertheless she knows Video Game collecting makes me happy so she lives with it..

My girl doesnt mind, since we moved house 2 years ago the spare room is now my room. :buttrock:

Plus she is in Australia for the next 3 months so cant keep tabs on my spending habits.

She occasionally dabbles in Bust a move on the Saturn and likes Monkey ball but seems to think all FPS games look and are the same. Just after Metroid Prime came out she said to me one night while I was playing 'why do you only play Halo' bless her. ;)

As far as the Neo/ Supergun goes she leaves well alone (her choice not mine). :)

My new girlfriend is sort of in a state of shock, I think.

She just moved in with me on the first of September. It's sort of a strange situation since she had only seen me once in four years before that. We'd dated for four years, and then split up, but kept in touch, for four years. The first time she saw my appartment was when she moved in!

She grew up in a house with a nintendo that no one ever played. She only had one sister, and no one took any interest in video games.

She's mentioned that she'd like it if the Arcade stays in the room that it's in now. She doesn't want machines spilling out into the living room or in the bedroom, and I can respect that.

After I told her what I payed for everything, she told me that she thought I'd payed much more, and that it seemed like a harmless hobby.

Last night I got in some time on Samurai Showdown 2, while she played some Tetris. I think she's getting used to the idea, but I seriously doubt she'll ever take any real interest in it.

The GF's in the past were a mixed bunch of nuts. One would play with me the others fell asleep watching me. I'm currently single, holding out for a cute nerdy chick or a goth chick.

My wife is really cool with it too. She complains about it at times but usually it's just to poke fun at me when other people are around. Always saying how I have the systems laying around. My game room at this time is our bedroom so it is quite messy I need to clean it up a bit.
But she loves to play my games too but not near as much as I do and when someone comes over she loves to show my cab off. I'm not sure why but hey, it's fine with me.

My wife is totally non-supportive of my gaming.

She thinks it is all just senseless fun.... well I couldnt agree more! It is just senseless fun.

There is no way on earth I can ever allow her to know what it costs to collect Neo games... she would shut me down for sure.

My wife does not mind it as long as I stay within our means when buying. I have not been good at that lately though  and she is now getting a little mad at me. Although, she does play sometimes with me! She says it is better for me to have this as my vice then to be a smoker/drinker/drug addict. :)
