i heard lots an lots of rumors that this might actually happen i heard that new line is in talks.i think that would be awsome its only righ.t ash the demon slayer freddy the dream demon just think of all the kool one liners think of ash puttin his boomstick to jasons face an uttering a killer one liner the possibilitys are endless what do u guys think ?

:eek_2: ash you dont know whos ash oh dam i guess i shouldve been more informative.hes from the evil dead movies ever here of it? it has a huge cult following in the horror genre hes basically the hero of the trilogy evil dead 1 2 an army of darkness if u havent seen em i suggest renting the or buying if u wish as they are true classics

also i forgot to mention that he has a chainsaw for a arm an his trusty boomstick (shotgun)to slay his deadites with the guy is just bad ass

As much as I like Ash and his badass one liners, I think it will be a bad idea for him to be in the movie with two slasher horror icons. They could at least had a Micheal Myers vs. Freddy vs. Jason, now that is something I would watch. I'm just wondering if they can make a somewhat plausible story as to explain where the hell Ash came from. If I wanted to see a movie with Ash in it, I would rather see a new Evil Dead/Army of Darkness or at least a crossover with Snake Plisken. Snake Plisken vs. Ash, now thats a dream match.

One minute Bruce Cambell denied it would happen then the next he was saying new line are thinking about it but the only way he would do it was if he would get to kick some major ass

I think its not that good a idea as not many people know who Ash is and even less people know that the army of darkness was the third part of the evil dead trilogy

I agree...I love Evil Dead...but Ash being in a slasher flick on that level just sounds weird. When you get down to it, Ash doesn't have any nifty supernatural abilities like Jason or Freddy...other than his heroism and technology. Unless, of course, the only person able to stop the two of them *is* Ash, then maybe it would make more sense...but only if they include the main character from Dead Alive. Or the Priest. That guy was awesome.

Too bad that rumor has been circulating for YEARS. But hell, the Freddy vs Jason rumor went around for a while, and it happened. The smart money is still on the fact that Ash will never be in a new movie again, unfortunately.

Too bad Ash against Tall Man in Phantasm V didn't fly. If that movie ever gets made, I'm sure he'll be good as the Marine though... Seems like a big If...Am I the only one that thought IV was crap? Sure, we find out the origin of Tall Man and all but...but...just compare it to the other ones!

A new evil dead movie will NEVER be made.
Sam Raimi is busy with Spider-Man 2 (as well as Bruce, he is playing Doctor Conners/The Lizard)

Plus Bruce has his own movies he makes (Bubba HoTep is coming out soon hopefully)

If you read some of his ramblings on his site he says it many times that he isnt interested or ever going to make another one (which is why he started doing the games alot with the voice and stuff)

That would rock... I was thinking that the migh do something like Halloween on Elm Street though.
