info from francey's site
nice to see a new box set.
i dont remember what is on the name of this band is talking heads
which on tape only, but i see a clean break on the list which
i believe is one of the tracks from the tape.
and i m pretty excited about the story telling giant portion.
i saw a vhs tape of it at a video rental place.
they of course refused to sell it to me but
whatever. i think i saw it on ld. just one of the many useless things
i need to add to my pack rattish pile.
so there you go.

"77" is one of the best records ever. I'm not much of a fan of anything after "More Songs about Buildings and Food," but I love those first two albums.

Difficult one to judge........

I'm sure most hardcore TH fans, would perhaps be dissapointed by the title "Once in a lifetime"" as the GH package........ PROBABLY, most HC fans hark the days of Psycho Killer/Drugs....

Not me though, Psyicho Killer is my fave TH track, closely folowed by OIAL, great band no doubt, though perhaps the lead singer took his cues from other top s5tars, particularly evident in his solo work (not a bad thing)............

Wont be getting it imediately, but my be a nice package to get later.;)

Sounds cool, will definitely pick it up when it comes out. As for a faborite tune, I would have to say Once in a Lifetime just edges out Burning Down the House for me. I think I will go watch Stop Making Sense again now as I haven't watched that dvd in a while.

hello there mr bash.
hope you are doing fine.
but anyways.
i ve always thought all of the heads tunes were great.
but if i had to pick a couple i d say
some of my favorite selections would be memories cant wait and heaven.
if there was one thing about the heads that was great it was
that they were always evolving their music to something different,
a trade thats lost upon todays acts that make recordings of the
same type of music over and over again.
if you were to compare 77 with fear of music or naked or speaking in tongues
you would come out with different styles tones and experiences.
just a dumb thing i always thought was interesting about them.

I must concur Mr. Hero, every album they seem to change up the style and sound of their music. One of the most truly innovative groups in music past or present. On a side note, I hope that all is going well for you Mr. Hero, and you are lucky I won't be around when SVC comes out as my Hugo would lay the smack down on anyone you could pick. :buttrock:

everything is doing quite well sir,
and youre welcome to stop by any time.
because if my memory serves correctly my hugo whooped on
your hugo almost as badly as my zangeif trounced your zangeif
;D
but mr Jake,
alot of people regard stop making sense one of the talking heads
best albeit live, and then again alot of people consider it one
of the best live shows of all time as well. if you find stop making
sense on dvd you ll see what i mean. its a great production really.
like ive mentioned in here already.
they had such a big range of work that its kind of hard to put a
one over the other unless you happen to like one style of music over
the other imo.
but stop making sense is a mix of a few popular older titles plus things from
speaking in tongues and remain in light.
both pretty well received albums toward the end of the groups career before
david split with the rest of the members.
my favorite live album is the name of this band is talking heads that showed up
on tape and lp. no cd though :(
