what an awsome game man! The Slugs are way better than they first game! And the new weapons rocked! Im playing through them in order so MS3 is next!

ive played 1 and X, i guess 3 is next...hopefully 5 will be good
Metal Slug 2 is not worthless. Some people do not like the different color palette and remixed bosses found in Metal Slug X. Some would say that metal Slug X is worthless if they already have metal Slug 2 and do not like the revisions made in Metal Slug X. It can go either way, one or the other. I know quite a few people that enjoy Metal Slug 2 more then Metal Slug X, namely Ukyo from these forums.

If SNK felt that Metal Slug 2 was up to par and therefore not a piece of shit...they would NEVER have released Metal Slug X.
You can't argue that.
You can argue that you like it...but be honest...how can you really enjoy such a lackluster and insultingly poor production of a game like Slug 2?
If you like slow motion...get a MAS stick.
The only reason I would get Slug 2 is to play it while drunk and stoned out of my mind just so that I could keep up and not use all my continues before finishing the first level.

MS2 may be slow, but I still like the game. If you can't handle a game with slowdown better stay away from Shock Troopers 2. Still it's a great game IMO, but the slowdown is a real pain in the ass sometimes.

MS2 = Best slow motion action shooter.
Now I don't know about you, but slow motion and action should only apply to max payne type games in certain conditions rather than the whole time!
I avoid this game every time I see it at an arcade. I don't know about where you guys live, but all the arcades I go to have either Puzzle Bobble or Metal Slug in the MVS cabs.

Shock Troopers 2nd has tolerable slowdown and it actually aids you while playing.

If you've played Slug 2 and Slug X the reasoning behind Slug X's release should be redily aparant, as should the reasoning behind why I think Slug 2 is a steaming pile of monkey shite.

This is pretty much how i feel. I really like Slug 2 and granted i only have a limited playthrough (first 3 levels only). What i have played of this games is excellent, i am really interested to see why MSX is so better. Is it simply because there is no slowdown? That is the only problem i have found with the game, and it doesn't bother me much.
Can someone explain why MSX is a gift from god and Metal Slug 2 is a pile of shit?
