Hi everyone!

Im new to the Neo Geo (MVS) scene, and just wanted to say Hi to everyone, and a big thanks as that ive really found this website extremely usefull in making decisions regarding my purchase.

So far i have a 1 slot MVS installed in a dedicated Mortal Kombat 2 machine with:

Metal Slug
Aero Fighters 2
World Heros 2 Jet
Samurai Shodown 2

I am looking at buying some more shooters, like Pulstar and Blazing Star, but I really like Alpha Mission 2 after playing an emulated vesion on an xbox.

My question is, are there any differences between this and the Japanese version ASOII? Any help would be greatly appreciated before i hand over the cash.

cheers

Geoff

Alpha Mission 2 and the Japanese version of that game called Last Gaurdian are the exact same game. The MVS cartridges have both Japanese and English language on them. The region of your MVS board decides which language is displayed. There are a few Japanese language only games that will only display in Japanese no matter what system you have. I hope that helps you out.:)

The Japanese version is actually called:
ASO II: The Last Guardian. I've seen it referred to mostly as ASOII (ASO = Armored Scrum Object).

Yeah ASOII and Alpha Mission II are the same. I'm also new to the MVS scene since I am no longer in the AES Scene when I traded off my home system to BIGPsyche for some cool MVS Carts.

BIGPSYCHE and 300wins are the coolest members I have dealt with. They have MVS carts available for sale. They might have Pulstar or Blazing star left for sale so I would pm them if you are still looking for those.

They are great to deal with and are professional as well as just great guys to talk to about mvs/ng stuff.

You have quite an mvs collection for someone new to the scene. I still need a supergun with a mvs one slotter.

Welcome to the forums!
