What's the difference between s sidekicks 3 and neo geo cup 98?

Really, what is the difference between these games besides the copyright dates? The intro is only slightly different (the flags), and the gameplay is the same/very similar.

I've read somewhere on the web that Neo- Geo Cup '98 is a bugfixed version of Super Sidekicks 3 but I can't tell which bugs were corrected... I'll do a search and post the info I find (if any) there...
