Hello,

Right off the bat this is going to be alittle long, so please bare with me.

I just bought my AES Neo Geo system off of Ebay, with 5 Games for $358.00 shipped from Japan. I just Paypal'd the money to the guy and should be recieving it within the next 2 weeks.

I've always wanted this system since i was charged a quarter a game by my neighbor when I was twelve years old (he made a funkin' killing! jerk! lol)

So i ran across some old stuff in one of my childhood art portfolio's and found a 'figure out the puzzle and win all these great prizes...' You guys know, where you could win all the video game systems in demand at the time. not to mention a kick a$$ stereo system and projection screen tv...

Anyways!! lol

I seen that there was a picture of the Neo Geo system on there and was like... funk it, I loved it as a kid, I want it!

SO here i am now...

I am a completist, not to mention a perfectionist when it comes to collecting things. But i noticed that alot of these games are still really pricey, not to mention highly sought after, and when they hit the market in their low avaliabilty they are swooped up. ( I love collecting!)

But i would like to meet some other people on here, Preferably guys from Ohio, So that i can trade or buy items from. Also if your a dealer or what not I can maybe trade services in which i work for cheaper prices on games and accesories. (I work in a Sports shoe and clothing store where i am a manager) not to mention i know enough people at car audio and electronic stores. Or hell just go out for a few drinks with some local peeps. (I LOVE Blue Moon Ale! lol)

I used to work at Trading Zone/Video Trader in Columbus,OH . There was a couple guys that used to come in all the time that were into Neo Geo cart systems, so if those guys are on this forum site and someone knows of these two gentlemen, they offered to get me started 2 years ago with items please pass this along.

I wouldnt mind getting Ohio League of Neo-Gamers going or something along those lines.

Sorry for making this so long... But I just wanted everyone to know my enthuesiasm with this new hobby i have taken on :)

Thanks guys...

Hey man, being a Neo Collector is a full time job. I've been into the last 6 years and am still loving every money soaking second of it. Although my cart collection isnt what it used to be, I still have mannaged to keep up with some of the newer stuffs. Its all good though. Welcome.

Also me and a few friends of mine are trying to get a get together going on for Columbus and Cincinnati, but have not found a place to do it yet. Its been in the works for a while, but nothing concrete on where it could take place. Any ideas? We were thinking after SvC came out (I'll have it Oct 10th). We can supply all the hardware, projector, sound system, etc, we just need a place. Let me know and welcome to the addicition.

I'm not sure if your familiar with the Columbus; westside area. (not that i'm in love with it or anything, due to it being ghetto. lol)

But the mall I work at has alot of vacant store fronts and i'm sure that the mall wouldnt mind us using one of these store for a couple hours or what not...

Let me do some checking up and see what i can find out.

Does something like that interest the group of guys?

Also do you know a couple places/people that sell the AES carts locally?

SO there is only one guy from the Ohio area?

I'm new to this 'hobby' (or lifestyle on the way everyone in here talks about it... lol) I'm wanting to meet new people.

Anyone from this area please say....'what up' lol.

Back when I was just a Lad I too wanted the Neo so bad but with just a paper route could not afford it. Now a couple yrs back I finally bought one from one of the member of this board. I could swear I'm the only person in town to own an AES and another member on this board PMed me and I guess he lived just down the block from me and also wanted a Neo. He ended up buying on like a week after I did, I thought that was the coolest thing that he lived so near. But now he moved out of town and again I'm the only one in town with a Neo that I know of.

But hey welcome to the boards.

'what up'

Sorry I can't help you with any extra neo stuff. I just stick to this site and ebay for my Neo needs.
