The Clash are a truly great band. Way ahead of their time.
I started listening to them (and tons of other bands) when I got a job at a local record store back in '97.

Im not an active Clash buyer, kjust always liked them since mid 80's................VH-1 is a good source for Clash vids these days, since Joe Strummers death the Clash vid play has at least doubled.

when Rock the Casbah came out. i was like 6 or 7 at the time. a lot of the bands that i'm into were from the early to mid 80's even though i was only a tyke then

The Clash is simply one of the greatest bands ever. Genious....
I started listening to them in the mid 90's and never stopped.

they were metioned in the greatest movie ever high fidelity.
that as well as being kick ass makes them great.

London Calling was my introduction to the Clash sometime around 1980.
