Secret fighters are better secret.

When i first got to fight geese in real bout special and ryo in fatal fury special back when they were first released i never had a clue these fighters were in the game and so when i got to first see them i was in awe and extra happy as it was like a great free gift but since the internet has come along before a new neo geo game is released we are already told that there are secret fighters in the game and you cant avoid it

Such as red arrema and athena in svc chaos although it is great knowing they are in there the fact knowing it means you aim foward to getting to them whilst if u never had a clue they were in the game and one popped up at after a end boss you would then be extra thrilled as you wasnt expecting it,

I wonder if there are any games out there with secret fighters noone knows about,
I mean could you imagine one time playing last blade 2 for example and beating everyone a certain way then all of a sudden a secret fighter appeard that would be cool
but it wont happen.

Exactly. That's why CvS1 and CvS2 were pretty boring as a one-player game. At first when I heard that Shin-Karate and Shin-Akuma were the "final" bosses I couldn't forgive them for using yet another variation of an existing character for a boss. Then I found out that Bondage Athena and that Devil guy were the last bosses, and I forgave them.

Well then sir, perhaps you would prefer hidden characters that you are neither able to play or play against.
