Who lives in the stupidest named town?

In Yorkshire the other weekend I went through towns called Bugthorpe and Wetwang.

But I don't live in them. I'm in Edinburgh, which isn't really that funny. The Fountainbridge area at that, which really just sounds quite nice and not all stupid.

Who lives in a town with the stupidest name?

I live in Piscataway, which I think is ok, but when I was a kid, I learned to spelled it by writing PIS CAT AWAY. That always made me laugh.

There is a street in Edinburgh called Cockburn Street.

But Cockburn is actually a common Scottish surname, you pronounce Coburn, so only tourists think it's funny - and we think tourists are funny so it all works out.

I live in New York... Used to be New Amsterdam but I guess it got old so they reamed it New York instead of updating to Newer Amsterdam...

I also ike the famous french town of Moncul... ok does not sound very good but if you translate litteraly it makes:

I live near Cockysville. Ironically, that's also where the sewage treatment plant is.

There's also Scaggsville which isn't anything special, but local people make fun of it.

oh the best is easily Bell End road in dudley.
