NHG and MVS Video.

Okay.. this is a bit vague, but im not sure what is optimal video for the MVS or NGH. i will probably buy either based on what i can expect better video from.

im not sure which to buy.. at the moment i run most consoles through an XRGB2+ (Mostly via RGB, or D-Terminal + composite for audio), though to be honest im not even sure what kind of video the NGH outputs.
ive read about RGB and S-Video mods (no standard s-vid?), but suprisingly couldnt dig up much info.

Also.. what could i expect the best video from? an MVS running through a supergun RGB SCART, through XRGB2 (VGA Monitor), or is it possible to get a better picture from a NGH by running it through the XRGB2+ unit? (either using S-Vid, or RGB?).

My other concern is audio.. is the audio very good on a vanilla NGH? i have heard of mods, to produce better sound from the NGH, but is this neccesary? i always try to get the best audio/video i can for consoles, but my neo knowledge is very very limited..

I'm not so sure about superguns so I'll explain some NGH stuff now.

If you get an NGH you can get an RGB SCART cable for it (din-8 male in the other end of the cable) because Neo outputs RGB quality without any mods and because you live in England you should have a TV with RGB SCART input.

As for sound, you can get stereo without any mods from the Neo's headphone output.
If you need RCAs then get an adapter for the headphone output..

This way you can avoid any mods and still have the best picture quality and good sound quality.

ahh thanks, good to know.. have you tried running a NGH with RGB SCART through an upscan unit on a VGA monitor, as an alternative to RGB SCART TV?
curious to know what kind of results can be had from this method also.
