Well, my HP Deskjet crapped out on me (after only a year) so I'm in the market for a new color printer.

What do you think the best available printer is ? (Within a reasonable price, of course)

Thanks for any input,
Eric

I don't know what you consider reasonable but my Canon i850 is awesome. Save money since the color printer carts don't become worthless when only one color runs out. Great photo quality prints, speedy printing. Great unit. Goes for under 150.

Haven't read anything about how much better the i950 is but its about 100 bucks more.

Around $150 or so was exactly what I was going to be looking at.

And I was thinking about finding one that would allow me to only replace one color as needed.

Thanks for the help!

Any other suggestions?

Office Max or office Depot has a sale this week for the newest HP 3 in 1 ...they normally sell for 200$ but the sale price is 109$

nice unit ...even has slots for compact flash cards .

Get a laser printer, and for the random document that requires color printing, take it to Kinko's or Staples and get it done right.

The price to get a page printed out is competitive with what you'd pay on ink cartridges, etc. And the toner in a laser printer lasts freaking forever.

Thanks for the ideas, but any other suggestions?

So far I've narrowed it more or less down to
Canon i560
HP Deskjet 5150
" " 3650

I'm leaning more towards the Canon because of the separate color ink tanks and the fact that the last Deskjet I was using kept getting jammed before it stopped working for me.

A good site for reviews perhaps? I've been checking on ZDNet

i would go with this epson printer it has very high resolution and best part of it that i like is that is has direct printing on the cd

epson stylus 900

it is 200 bucks on there site but i would think what the printer features is well worth the 50 bucks
