I don't buy more than I can watch, though I always have 4 or more discs left unwatched at any given time, due to the sheer amount of DVDs I buy. The max I've ever had was 35 unwatched DVDs! :eye: :eye:

What is in my pile right now is:

Lupin the Third Disc 1
Lawrence of Arabia Superbit edition (fucking awesome almost 4 hr movie)
2 Utena discs
Cat Soup
Pistol Opera
Those Who Hunt Elves II vol 1
Tenamonya Voyagers
Ceres Celestial Legend Collector's Edition 1 (2 disc set)

Most of these will be watched soon to make room for a CONSTANT in-flow of DVDs. In probably 3 weeks I'll hit the 1000 DVDs mark! WOOHOO!

The best part is, when my pile is in the 2-8 DVDs unwatched I go back and watch some series I want to see again. Recent re-watches would be: Mahoromatic, Steel Angel Kurumi, Dual and InuYasha (what's out on DVD anyway).

As far as unfinished games... well, I have quite a few RPGs. I just can't be bothered to pick games up and play much anymore. Wish I could, but I just haven't been in the mood I guess. I have this severe itch to play Lunar though, so maybe I'm not as hopeless when it comes to games as I thought...

That was my biggest problem during the Dreamcast era...I burnt myself out on games because they became so irresistably inexpensive (who could pass up the fire-sale clearances on DC games that Best Buy ran at the end of the system's life---some sold for as little as $4.99 NEW!!), so I bought and bought and bought, thinking that it was now or never to build that impressive collection of DC games. Trouble is, I never played these games. I'd try them once, become jaded, and permanently shelf the game after writing it off as same-old/same-old. In a way, I can sympathize with these people to some degree.

I've changed my ways and become extremely selective in regards to what movies/games I buy. I only buy what I feel I will TRULY enjoy and not just buy for the sake of having something.

Do you have a new Project Justice, by any chance, that I could buy?

But with the topic, I think many people just buy for the sake of having. Makes me sad seeing as how people have stuff that I want to watch or play, badly. Yet all they do is have it on a shelf....man...being poor sucks. I'm trying to get a job so that I can buy shit, but its fucking hard. :crying:

I have a couple Atari Jaguar games that I bought real cheap a while back and havent played at all since. And now my Jag is boxed up in storage I dont think I'll be playing them anytime soon either.
Other than that, all the games I buy get played, granted, some may only get a couple hours before being forgotten about - especially if I'd bought 2 or more games that week, but I pretty much always play them on the same day I buy them.

As for DVD's, well I bought Akira on DVD and havent watched it - but then I have watched it a couple times on VHS and TV, I also have yet to watch Final Fantisy:TSW - but I saw it at the cinema and...well.. it sucks (no Idea why I bought the DVD anyway). I also have half of 'Now and then, Here and there' to watch, and most of Metal Fighter Miku (another anime which I have no Idea why I bought it).

But 400 unwatched DVD's??
Damn, I dont even have 400 DVD's in my entire colection!

I am semi like this. I know a good deal when I see one, and know that I won't see particular titles again, especially since most of my purchasing for the last few years has been for LaserDiscs. I probably only have around 100 LD's/tapes/VCD's/DVD's I have yet to watch though (if even that, out of a near 400-strong film collection). But games yet to play? I think if I can't bring myself to play it I may as well sell it.

I used to pull bullshit like this with games, but not anymore. Any DVD I buy I almost always immediately watch it when I get home. The only thing I've bought recently (or really ever) and haven't watched is Akira on Laserdisc. Just haven't found 2 hours to kill.

I only buy DVDs of movies or shows I've already seen, and I rarely buy games these days (mostly rent) since the only next-gen system I own is Xbox (everyone knows how often a AAA game comes along for it:( ).
