For those that are still wondering about that new Pelican stick for PS2/Xbox, and can say right now, GET IT. It's fantastic, and much more sturdy then anything that has been released for "normal gamers" as of yet. I picked mine up at Game Stop. Great stick, very heavy/big, and clicky. The ONLY thing is, I wish the stick was clicky like the Neo stick. I guess I've been playing Neo Geo too long, because when I first got it, I hated the click sound of the Neo stick, and now I miss it. heh.

Anyhow, I'm rambling. Get this if you're on the fence. Great stick (not that crap ass $20 one, but the new one that just came out).

I'm glad that others have seen these sticks in person and have had a chance to try them out.

I posted a topic about these controllers several weeks ago on the old boards. I myself have also purchased an XBOX version of the Pelican and have been most pleased with it. For $59.99, it's a great value and a well-made peripheral, unlike many of the controllers on the market today.

Oh, I saw the posts, which is why I bought it to begin with. I saw the posts first, and then I saw it in stores. I was most impressed with what I saw in the store. So, I bought one.... best controller I've ever bought.

WTF? $49?
They're $59 at every single Gamestop in my area. They are, however, running a deal where you get $10 off the controller ifyou buy it together with Soul Calibur II.

The joystick and buttons are approximately the same size and quality as those that you will find on an arcade game or an Xarcade stick. I'm not sure if they're actually using Happ parts and Cherry Microswitches (probably not since the buttons are "clickier" than the genuine Happ parts I have in the custom stick I built myself) but there's no denying that this is a quality product and the best you can get in a mainstream store at a decent price. Even the housing is made out of quality particleboard!

I don't want to open mine up yet, but if someone is ambitious, take yours apart and post some pics of the innards!!
