I'm beginning to like it more.
I had my doubts yesterday as little things were annoying me such as layout, text sizes and the PM system, but I'm starting to get the hang of it!

It does seem a lot faster, I agree... we were probably nearing the end of UBB... we were freaking huge! Probably put quite a strain on the old dog.

at first I didnt like it..but now that some of the bugs are being worked out, and there are titles back on the front page of the last posts, I'm digging it better.

It takes maybe a sec or 2 longer to load the pages. I find it loads in increments, but still faster.
I like the way it's like the ubb in the older days with seeing who's online, who's browsing each forum, etc etc etc.

Making posts, editing posts, deleting/moving/closing topics, all these functions work super fast now. Before, UBB would take 4 or 5 seconds, VB is like a second delay only, if that. It made moderating the boards tiresome, but now mods can do what they want in a snap.
And yes, having Who’s Online back is one of my favorite benefits. The latest version of UBB would crawl when this feature was turned on. You know, the only reason I think we got away with turning it on in the past was because we had less traffic back in the day. I remember during the “ON” merger we would see 40 to 50 people online at one time and be “wowed”. VB on the other hand handles Who’s Online so efficiently that it doesn’t effect performance they claim.

but what about my sig? and how some things in the threads dont display..instead of the faces it's "wink" or "buttrock" or something..and pictures just became links that werent clickable. I had to shorten the link to my sig, thanks to the help of chris, in order for it to display correctly. and the fluctuating posts problem..
