Come all ye here who have great Neo victories you want to shout about.

My reason for starting this - I just beat AOF2 on MVS level, a real milestone for my 2D fighting ass

Hmmmm, I'd say my best victory was beating Nam '75 on MVS without losing a life and without using grenades. Still can't beat the Neo CD version though...

My greatest victory was lasting over 50 load screens in SSRPG in one sitting.

My greatest Neo Victories:
1-Beat Last Resort on Hard, both times through, with ONE LIFE! Could never do it again.
2-Beat Viewpoint, again on Hard, with one life.
3-Beat Nam 1975 with one life.
4-Beat Fatal Fury Special on 8 without losing a round.
5-Beat Fatal Fury on Hard with all Perfects except for one round.

Greatest Neo Humiliations:
1-Can't beat 3 Count Bout.
2-On hard, Mr. Karate in Art of Fighting kills you with one Haoh Ken, if it is a counter-hit.
3-Can't beat Crossed Swords AES. Quarter muncher.
4-Never beat Kuroko in Samurai Shodown 2
5-Got beat in a Samurai Showdown 2 Tournament by someone using Earthquake. Sigh.

AOF

That's a tough score to challenge. What's your high score, and what route do you play?

I'm always up for discussing tricks of the trade when it comes to Shock Troopers scores, but I've never seen anyone else even break 20 million yet.

Beat Metal Slug with only 20 credits (not bad for a first try).

Beat AOF 2 (Geese included) with King (no continues).

Beat Kizuna Encounter with Kim Sue Il and Rosa (no continues).

Beat KOF '95 with the Psycho Soldiers team (and got their special CD-only ending).

Beat KOF '96 with Leona, King, and Kyo (no continues).

may as well mention my "other" accomplishments too...

14.1 million on Shock Troopers: 2nd Squad (one-credit finish)
Finished Pulstar on one life on default Level-4
Finished Zed Blade with 3.6 million points on one credit on default settings (Level-4, 3 lives, extras at 200k, 800k, and 2 million)
2.4 million on Aero Fighters 3 (Stage 15)
20,341,770 on Blazing Star
3.02 million on Mutation Nation (one-credit finish)
Finished Metal Slug 1 on one life (never managed that on Metal Slug 2, although I did get the one-credit finish)
984,000 on NAM-1975 (one-credit finish)
Finished Neo Bomberman on Story Mode on one life
Finished Spinmaster on one credit on Level-8, score 779,500
a little over 600k for finishing Top Hunter on one credit with Perfects on all bonus stages
Finished King of the Monsters on one credit, I forget my high score
Ditto for Last Resort, don't remember my high there either (and yes, I finished both loops)
Finished Ganryu on one life
211k on King of the Monsters 2... reached the last stage on one credit... that's as far as I can get

Fighting game accomplishments aren't as special. Except for 890,850 on Art of Fighting 1, that was decent

Edit: forgot a few, hehe

My favorite Neo Victory:

Back when Shin Samurai Spirits was new, I won a tournament held at our favorite arcde in downtown St. Paul. I never really played for the whole "I can kick anyones ass" thing, I just enjoyed it, but my friends noticed that I could last a whole day on one credit, playing against people.

So, they convinced me to enter the tourney, and I won first prize: $250, and 200 free tokens!

Ok I just finished Pulstar AES like 10 minutes ago on skill 1 even though its still the hardest shooter i've ever played, even on this skill level. It took a couple days but I did it! The final boss is to die for, and the ending while short, is still sweet. And the game is sick too Aicom <ahem, Irem> are sick. I love it. The animation and technical precision both within its engineering, and required of the player is incredible. Frankly, I wasn't sure how I liked Pulstar at first. I'm not too keen on bio-levels, and the prominence stage on level 3 just didn't have the cool rock music that Life Force had <disappointment> but it got better. And the game totally grew on me. Damn expensive game though but now I feel I can never let Pulstar go from my NEO library as its just so damn unique. It reminds me of a SNES game on crack. Now, to find Blazing Star...

I completed Last Blade 2 using Akari, no continues, MVS difficulty 4 (normal) and finished with 1,005,100 points. I did that just last week I was so pumped I posted about it in the Game Play forum :D

I just went to www.twingalaxies.com, the "offical" video game score keepers, and there isn't a Neo Geo section! WTF!!! There has to be a place to keep records. We either make our own site or email the hell out of those guys.

Beating EvilWasabi's Jubei in Samurai Showdown 1.
Isn't it true if you want to beat your opponent all you have to do is give them a noogie or tickle them? seems like a snap to me. Unless EvilWasabi's not ticklish. And loves noogies.
