your around the dallas area, Cool

I live in houston and there were a few places here but alas they have all gone away.

however there is a arcade auction held bi-monthly in dallas by www.superauctions.com . the usally have at least 4-5 cabs as well as sometimes the luck NGM cache.

I do not live in dallas so I do not know of any game shops there.

Thanks for the info. I live in close to Ft. Worth but would drive to Dallas for games. I guess I should have said I am looking for home carts, wife said I could get a cabinet when we get a house(no one will haul one up the stairs to our apartment, nor do I fancy the thought of hauling it down when we move). Well, thanks again!

P.S. What's the weather like in houston now? We got a little snow but nothing would stick.

There is no game store in Dallas/Ft. Worth areas have Neo homecart.

If there's one store has any, then me, nick_the_fury, Dolphinlord, and others will grab immediately..

There used to have DieHard Gamefan in Plano years ago and that's the place I bought my Samurai Showdown, World Heroes 2 Jet and Top Hunter from (I sold them years ago and now I'm getting those games back <IMG SRC="smilies/frown.gif" border="0">)

I'm trying to get some of the games I parted ways with myself. I was hoping there might be a store that get's them in even once in a blue moon. I've been to die hard years ago, that's where I got Dracula X and a few others. Thanks for the info.

I've been all over the state of Texas and haven't ever seen a store that carried Neo-Geo games, aside from the "DiHard GameFan" store in Plano which is, as Liquid noted, no longer in business. It seems like the "best" walk-in retail store in the US for purchasing Neo-Geo games is the "Game Dude" in California.

Dave, have you been to New York? The best store I've seen in US (if money is not the problem) for neo-Geo games is J&L Games in NY's Chinatown, the owner, Leslie, imported loads of Neo-Geo games (they've just opened another store right by the corner of Elizabeth and Canal St) in addition to the store he's been running in the basement shopping mall.

But before you look, check the prices first, a lot of rare, even half way rare titles are at $500+ range. Last year when I went there, the entire back corner of the store is for Neo-Geo and many games are laid down on the floor (not enough shelf space for them).

Another source to look for is Multimedia 1 in East Village, but their stocks pale in comparison to J&L, one cool thing about Multimedia 1 though, they carry practically every system made from as far back as Odyssey.

Phil, I remember when I visited Houston back in the winter of 1993 (my family lived in Houston), Babbages in Galleria was the only store that carry all US Neo-Geo release, but their prices were high, ie: $240 for new release in 1994 like Sidekicks 2, Windjammer, Samurai Shodown, AOF2, my Super Sidekicks 2 and Last Resort came from this store. Next year winter of 1994 when I went back, they were ready to clear Neo-Geo games with prices cut 50% but still high, almost all of the games went off the shelf quickly

there used to have three Diehard Gamefan stores in Houston. I've been to one of them near Chimneyrock (correct me if I was wrong) years ago. I stayed in Houston for two days but couldn't find other two.

I remember I saw one brand new JPN Spinmaster for $99........

Phil, you bought Andro Dunos and King of Monsters? Man, they had them and I was thinking about getting them, by the time I decided to get them and went back to the store both games were gone. Oh well, I managed to get them else where later on, thanks to internet.

you may be right I might have missed them. One of my friends was telling me of a store that rented the Neo's here in houston but it has long since gone away. Maybe it was die hard. I never went. Back then I was working at target full time and had a very unrealiable car. I was lucky to make it to the Gallery let alone around houston at the time. Thank god for AAA.
