I'd like to bitch about Playmore's art department.

Since playmore took over from SNK's i've been continuely dissapointed with there art department. When i'm paying $65+ for a game, when i take it out of the packagin it kinda sucks to be presented with an eyesore, so yeah, my right to bitch, bitches.

Garou DC re-release. The original SNK art was perfect. They changed it. But it ain't so bad, it's quite subtle and nicely presented. Best artwork from playmore.

Last Blade re-release. Well , this one looks total shite. A game full of fighting Samurais/Ninja's/Magic folk and they stick a little girl on the cover. Playmore and little girls, weirdos.

KOF2k PS2 - lmao this is terrible. I have little to add, other than they look ill. Oh, and kula. AGAIN.

KOF2k DC. Nice cover, a little sparse but nice.

KOF2k1 DC. This is quite frankly the most atrocious cover art for a fighting game i have ever seen. Complements the game well then, seeing as it managed to ruin every KOF character there is. It may pass as a bizarre jap dating sim cover, but a fighting game?

KOF2k2 DC - Original cover was simple and stylish. Now they changed it to another crappy Kula cover which again looks like a dodgy dating sim. No wonder they have trouble moving these titles with consistantly shite covers.

King Of Fighters EX GBA: wow this one is actually really nice. Oh yeah, that's because Sammy handled it.

Maybe Playmore has market research that we are not privy to. Maybe they have learned that the Japanese DC fighting game buying market (104 people, last I chcked-HI TOSHIRO!) like Kula on their covers.

In Japan 14 year old girls sell. Live with it and print your own covers. If NGF can do it, so can any one else.

P.S. I dont like any of the Playmore covers. And yes, MOTW original DC release is THE most attractive cover on the DC, period. I like men.

they are all okay but i miss shinkuro doing all the art it was just awesome to bad nothing ever comes out from them (for snk)anymore. but they do work for capcom still all the art from snk 90's was the shit now blah!

Fran and I are on the same wavelength here. At first I was awestruck by Shinkiro's artwork, but after I took a gander at all his characters, I realized all his characters' faces looked the same. Mai was basically a slimmer Chang with breasts on and revealing clothing. I like Nona alot because his artwork is dynamic and expressive, and they all look different.

I like the new art.
