what do you think the jap and english KOF 2001 inserts will look like?

what do you think the art work will look like for these games and what would you like to see. I was thinkinh=g about it and I think it would bee awsome if the backround was not done in A grey tone or black but instead in A really beep, dark (cobalt) blue. the logo and cover art would look bad ass over that. what do you guys think. Shawn included.

I’m with Fran’s theory. The posters and catalogues of KoF 2001 all share a red background. It’s possible that the home release insert will have a red background as well, perhaps similar to English KoF '96. Everyone seems to favor the look of English KoF ’96, so this would be a great choice.

Still too early to tell since the art is not finished yet. Once the insert is finished and provided to Neo-Geo.com, I will be sure to display it publicly.

Just in from Osaka, Japan today (BrezzaSoft Corp). 50 KoF 2001 catalogues (loaded with screenshots & game art) & 100 Extremely large and high quality KoF 2001 posters (all 150 items are English version naturally)!

These posters will be given away (free) with each order from the Neo Store under the condition that the item(s) purchased provide a large enough shipping box. Example: Ordering a keychain would not provide a large enough shipping box. Ordering any cartridge or larger size item would qualify.

i wonder if the case will have the snk logo on it...

thats A DAMN good question Fran. actually i am hoping that the large SNK logo on the inside bottom of the case will be taken out. I like it and all but it just csews up the cart casings and incerts to much. i say do away with it and leave the logo on the outside.

It would be nice if it was the same as the official KOF 2001 poster.

Well I have the Japanese KOF 2001 Poster, which is the same picture Fran and Shawn are refering to in one of the latest issues of Arcadia Magaizine. I also suspect this will be the insert for the AES release. The pic is of K' from a dramatic vertical perspective. ( As if you were sitting on the floor looking up at K')The illustration is amazing...I'll try to find a pic of it. Oh, and the poster doesnt say SNK on it, so who knows what will be ont the insert. I wansnt expecting the Sengoku 3 insert to have the SNK logo, but it did.>>>

This is an interesting topic.

Sure the game sports the 'SNK presents' in the intro, but production of the homecart is indeed another thing.

All I beg is a snaplock case, together with Fran. Or plastic at least. For god sake, I hope not to see any carton anyway.

As for the art, have you seen the 'arcadia mook' on KOF2001?

It rocks just as ever, and sports some cool piece of art too (see the big poster attached to the book).

i REALLY wanna see the cover art......
